Thanks man, you are correct Sir! :)

You're welcome.I just left your other thread.Seems everyone beat me to it.If yours is copper, have a radiator shop pull the end cap, check it our real good, clean it out,and solder it up.I would repaint it just to keep corrosion at bay,so to speak.

Thats what I just said on the other thread, lol. I will try and fix it myself tomarrow morning. Hopefully it has just seperated at the cap. Will sand it down, flux, soldier. I'm very use to having to deal with copper so hopefully it is repairable especially since they cost $140 bucks new. :)

Thanks man.

Not a whole lot happening today, was really muggy and hot. i managed to get the heat exchanger pulled and fixed.

it had a large split where someone had obviously tried to fix it with some jb weld putty. Would have still been working if they would have prepped it right .

Anyway, after removal, i managed to get the thing sanded down and soldiered. I also put some water weld on it after I soldier it. figure it can't hurt. Says its good to 900 psi, lol:)

Got it installed back on the boat and tested it on the muffs until it reached operating temp. Good to go for now. Will keep checking it for the next couple outings.

Prpped and flux applied.

JB water weld putty applied. This got sanded down smooth after cure. Will paint later after I know it no longer leaks.

Waiting to hear back from him; hoping to see it tonight... I don't need another boat (I have a 20' 1990 Hydra Sports Vector), but after viewing this rebuild thread, I'm thinking about taking on this additional boat for the family... We'll see...

Did a little lighting of the trailer today. I had some led strips I had bought for my truck a few years ago, but they were to short, so they got thrown in the garage and buried for a while.

I decided to mount them on the trailer where the trailer bends on both sides. This will give me good visability of the trailer in the rearveiw /side mirrors and hopefully stop people from trying to get in between my trailer and the truck. God help them if they ever succeed. :)

These blink with the blinkers as well so they know when I am coming over..

Also installed a new led 3 light under the stern in the middle. going to change the stern lights to all led when I get the funds to buy new ones.

They made a huge difference on seeing the trailer. Every trailer I have ever had I have lit up like a christmas tree. lol I just had these laying around, but I have thought about some amber color strip lighting that would run the legth of the trailer on both sides.

Its funny how many people try and cut right behind my truck not seeing that there is a big boat back there. Mostly idiot drivers talking on the cell phones. I really think this will help them see the trailer better.

i have these lights on my truck above the step bars and they blink with the signals also, lights up the whole side of the truck, so when I am turning or changing lanes, they definately know I'm coming over. :) I trailer alot at night also, thus the reason for extra lighting.

... I'm somewhere between "man, that is WAY cool," and "there are doctors for this kind of compulsion." :D I've been keeping up, all of it looks great. Love the "new" length of the boat on the cabin.

How's your dad doing?

Lol, yeah, but the doctors want there boats lit up to! :D I figured she deserved to have every foot appreciated on the length logo, lol :)
My dad has fully recovered from surgery and is having a blast. They are going down river to get away from the crowds this weekend.with some friends staying on there boat. There doing great!:)

Here is another pic of the lights after I splashed the boat today. I really do think I'm gonna light it from front to back with some amber leds. :) Or maybe just fromt the well wells forward in amber and red from there back.

Splish Splash! :) No more leak from the heat exchanger. Boats running great. :) I do have an electrical interferance issue to work out. My radar is not working. Try to get that squared away tmrw. But she is in the water for a few days, time to enjoy this much needed long weekend..
