Re: 1988 Sea Nymph GLS - 17'

worked pretty hard today;

1). got the latches (pulls) installed for the hatches (tedious getting those flush)...
2) got the consoles in and the dash panels installed...
3) Painted the splashwell

Here is the required visual evidence...

Another view:

And, closing the door and saying good night:

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the weekend!

Thanks Jig and S.P., appreciate it.. Yes, a router was one of the tools involved... so was a drill, a 1 1/4 hole drilling bit, a mallet and a screw driver... There is probably a better way to do it, but I used a combination of the above (and a few curse words) to basically "dig out" so it would slide down in there flush...

Thanks fellas... Yes, it finally does feel like I'm putting a boat back together...

Gus, that is hilarous! (I resemble that mock up)....

Now, I have to go make Mickey Mouse pancakes for the kiddos...

Later,

Yeah I hear ya on the flush pull rings, I put in 6 of them. Started with a dremel tool and ended up finding it easiest to use a nice sharp wood chisel.

Sure love that clean look you're smearing all over that SN. :D

The boat is looking great! All that hard work! I know you are ready to get some water on it and some play time. I know I am with mine. Now is the time that you have to be careful and stick to your plans and commitment to craftsmanship. It is so easy to start cutting a corner here and there with the end so near, the thoughts are "I just want to get this thing finished, so I can have some fun, I just need to hurry up and do this or that, and do I really need that built in coffee maker?" Stay the course and don't get in a hurry with anything if it suffers the quality, that's what I have to keep telling myself. I really want to SPLASH mine this month, but if it doesn't happen, then it just doesn't happen. Yes, the built in coffee maker is a requirement! Keep up the great work my friend!!
