Nice work, I am interested in how those doors turn out. I got a foot of snow on the ground here is jackson bet you got more. This afternoon I had to trek through it out to my barn to put some things out there, no path cleared . It is supposed to up near 50 later in the week so hopefully it will melt some of this snow. Spring is coming and I got to get a 454 into a Sea Ray. Keep on keepin' on.

Update:

What a nice day!...relatively speaking, the snow is starting to melt away, but more coming this week :(

One door is completely skinned, the other partially. I took the finished door and trimmed the remaining cloth overlays off with scissors and a razor. I cut out a few bubbles and hit it all with the belt sander. Then mixed up some west 410/resin, and added USC pigment (Hayward off white). I gave the one side a good coat to fill the weave.

Its starting to take shape, gonna need a bunch of work to get it all straight, but looks like im about half way done with the doors. This is time consuming by nature and im glad im getting it out of the way.

Still havnt found the hatch corner yet, im not panicked yet, but getting annoyed! I did find the fresh water holding tank though.. I brought that in the shop to figure how to clean it out good and get it ready to install.

While the epoxy sets up, im jumping back and forth from the boat stuff, and the barn work.

Those doors are gona look good zool :) I'm pretty much done with winter too, although a lot of my snow melted in the last few days (rain and warm temps for two days) the temps have now dropped again, which means everything is now a massive sheet of ice..

About the only way to clean that tank would be to bleach it, rinse it and give it the nasal appraisal... Still stinks, repeat steps until no stink!

Yea BD, im done with winter and I hope its almost done with me!

I think you're right Waterman, a bleach and water bath is probably the best way to go. I may bring it in to the bathtub..ummm, when the admiral aint here :D

Its a little slow going for me right now, life is really piling on right now. My mom is prepping for surgery today, so im dealing with that, plus the sealed plans were done for the LBI house rebuild, and since i'm GC'ing it, all the paper work is on me. I Finally got the permit jacket into the town this week, so Im on my way!..finally.

Also made some good progress on the barn, i'm on the other end of the lower level...still framing and insulating.

Il make sure I keep a day a week for the boat though :)

Thanks everyone for the good wishes, they seem to be working, she is doing well. She's at the specialists now any may not need much radiation. :)

So ill leave that to the pros for now and get back to the project at hand. Im gonna try to move the door/hatch projects along this weekend, and get it all set aside for paint when weather improves...
