Alrighty Then!!!! I kinda thought the pics looked different between dry and wet out. Sounds like I had my nose stuck where it didn't need to be!!!! Carry On!!!!:D

No way dude, you dont get off that easy!..Im counting on you and the others to stick your noses in when you see something that might not look right....if its not a concern, then no harm done, but if it is, it can be corrected early..and we get a better product ;)

Man she sure is looking good, ive started work on my 84 28ft Bayliner pulled he out about 2 weeks ago, just cleaning her up right now to be able to see in which direction i should be headed first.

Her hull and body is in pretty good shape but the motor is blown that really sucks. That i was gonna be able to just a rebuild. Im sure hoping mine tun out as good as yours is looking.

Thanks, Sorry to hear abvout the motor Cello, maybe you can swap the accesories on a new long block...by the way, that boat in the pics above is a sistership of mine, its complete so i use it as examples....mine is all torn down now, and now we will go where no Imperial has gone before! hehe

yes, I am pleased with mine.. heavy and well made structurally, I've replaced some interior side wall cushion trim. (made myself with wife), used old as stencil..1/8 ply, foam, staples, marine vinyl.. those funky nuts that you bang in from back and thread bolts on... neme of those eludes me... was fun,, doing rear seats this year.. bought mine last year for $2500... was in.. as the marine mechanic who inspected it prior to purchase,, "above average condition". have fun with that,, you made a good choice....

Technically, yes...but its all weighed down over the boat, and some tubes have popped out, its basically like a tarp with walls lol...I can still walk around the boat, and work inside if i enter thru the keyholes...its crazy heavy snow out there!

At this point, im worried about the real barn roofs!

A little bit of an update:

Dealing with the snow has cut into boat time but i got a little more done. I trimmed off the excess cloth and sanded down to smooth. The taped off the other side of the st door and skinned the other side.

I also taped off the other door and used the remaining resin in the pail to tab the seams.

With one side of the 1st door skinned, it was solid as a rock....the glass really adds alot of integrity to them.

I dug out the hatch that I had reproduced from the original years ago. The original broke in a rough inlet pass, while left open. The replacement is also now broken, dont remember how lol. The original was smoked acrylic like in the sistership pics above, but the new one was clear, because it was way cheaper...

I put the broken off corner somewhere safe so i wouldnt lose it, but forgeot where i put it, so i basically lost it :D....I have to hunt around , but ill find it.

I need to pick up some weld-on 4 and glue the corner on. Then I plan to paint it with the white poly to match the doors. Ill need an adhesion promotor.

Still following along here zool...I'm sure you know this, but for the acrylic repair (when you locate the missing corner), use chloroform or other solvent based acrylic adhesive, acrylic requires a chemical bond, not just a "glue" It will last longer and be much stronger.

Yep, thats what the weldon4 does, it goes on like glue, but melds the two pieces rendering the repair area stronger the the rest....I was a reef tank fanatic at one time, and used it to make tanks...

Any progress is better then none, imo..I can barely get around out there, so its this or nothing :)
