It's a 1977 Starcraft SS (I think) 18 ft..
Wasn't very pleased with the OMC stuff.. Around here in Texas, these are very hard to find.. Saw one about 6 months ago
with a rude outboard but it sold before I could get in touch with the guy..
The price was right and I have access to anything sheetmetal wise so I took the deal..
The first thing to go will be the OMC..

I don't think there's any 18ft bowriders that aren't an SS................

Which don't fair to well post transplant, the motor removal procedure. :faint2:

GT1M, I'm not sure what king of shape the OMC is in.. Not running for sure now..
But it will be the first thing that goes on this project..
Hopefully I can sell it as a whole unit for a few bucks..

SP, that Kool Aid guy just kicked in my front door and grabbed me and wouldn't let go!!

No new updates for the deckboat.. Been at least 2" +/- of ice on the ground since last Friday morning.. Just got up to 41 degrees today.

I did get one thing done on the tinny today..


Finally received my back order from i-boats, but to cold to climb under the boat to put it on.. Have the other 3 already in place..

well Decker i am astonished at the craftsmanship that you have put into this boat! I am currently deployed right now and just finished reading all 33 pages of your thread and boy it gets me all riled up to get home and back to work on my boat! Best of luck with the rest of the build and I am excited to see the end result!!

P.S. I truly appreciate all the posts supporting the troops, deployments can be tough and they aren't made any easier being gone through the holidays. Merry Christmas and God bless you and yours!

Nice looking roller. Many of the tin folks remove the rollers in favor of bunks, like many things boats, several opinions.........

I only have the 1 roller trailer & it's not the same style, and 1 rear set of rollers got tweaked by a PO, so I'll be converting it to bunks under the Duracraft that's currently on it. But it's WAY more trailer then it needs......

Jb, the roller is going on the deck boat trailer.. I had 2 rollers in the front that I really didn't like and will be replacing with the new style roller..
Here's a pic of the rollers they will replace..


I was going to leave them off but I think I need the extra support they provide..
