Just some more pics

Didn't get near what I wanted to do, but I guess my old body can't keep up with my racing brain..

Have a great short week..

Looks like a good strong weld Decker. Will you be putting in a drainage hole?
Edit: I see I posted the question too soon...I see you did put a hole in there..

Decker, glad to see your project is still going. Do you need to do much to the top? I don't recall seeing you do that yet or did I miss it? That trailer is going to be strong as a tank when you are done. Good to see they can be repaired from heavy rust spots. I have that problem too so I will be learning from you on your repair. Thanks. aj

PS, maybe we could just co own a welder and ship if around to each other. LOL

I haven't started on the cap yet. Still need to flip the hull and finish the deck and storage and gas tank and wires and WHOO what alot to do...:D
Any of the steel on a trailer can be repaired or replaced.. That's one good thing about steel..
Would love to co own the welder but the shipping would cost as much as the welder..

Well I finally had 2 days in a row without rain.. I have been trying to get the trailor all cleaned up with a sand blaster so I could prime it.
I would start on it and get half of it done and then the rain would come and start the fresh metal to rust.. I think I have gone over it at least 3 times now..

Here is a pic of the trailer with a fresh clean blast.. It looks silver gray, almost like it has a primer on it..

Here is a pic with the primer on it..

Went to Tractor Supply and bought the Majic Rust Prevenitive Sandable Primer and some of thier gloss white enamel and the hardner..
Also bought one of those $12.00 HLVP 20oz spray guns and was very impressed with it..

Hope everyone had a great Father's Day and a good week..

Hello Decker,

All I can say after reading your past 26 months of work is WOW! You sir have some real dedication. I am very interested in more of your rebuild along with pictures. I like how you put so much attention to any of your work you set forth, wither it be carpentry, glass work, metal fab, even cleaning. Talk about a man of all trades!

It seems you just about have every tool to get the job done, along with the laser thingy; wish I had as much tools to work with as you.

My only 2 cents is I was always told that primer holds moisture, and make sure not to leave it exposed too long or along comes the rust from underneath; so with all the rain you have had it makes me wonder.

Good luck and I'll be watching for more.
