Jas, we'll just keep the thread bumped with a contest for the worst "busier than" joke or like saying (being from MS, I have a decided advantage in the learned art of red-neck wit).

So, with that said: Jas, I'm sure your working "faster than a jackrabbit on moonshine" while sweatin' like a ***** in church" because your garage is "hotter than two gerbils making babies in a wool sock" - all just trying to get that boat "finer than frog's hair."

Just make sure you build those gunwales "horse high, pig tight and bull strong." Oh, and "don't sell your mule to buy a plow" (You've been known to do that on us).

Thanks folks, be sure and tip your waitress, I'll be here all week.... (insert cymbal crash).:facepalm::facepalm:

now your true side is really showing there from the back woods of MS PMC....... LMAO

Even if your 'sleepier than a starfish', you have a demanding crowd! Wake up jas, it's been 7 hours since you laid down, stop slackin', the day is wasting! We're starting to think you're 'lazier than a lap dog'. :)

OK, here's some progress. For those of you looking for details and lots of step by step photos you'll be disappointed. I lost my camera for a bit and really wasn't paying much attention to that stuff.

So, quick version on the stern deck build...

Basic idea...

Batts and baitwell will go back there...

Made some minor mods to the original splashwell, cut to fit...

You can see I left a gap at the bottom so water can find it's way back to the bilge there.

Re: 1980 Sea Nymph SS 165 Rebuild

I've struggled with the whole polishing deal and never could get it. Thought I'd give it another shot. Start...

Bout 2/3...

Man what a difference!

Wow! Looks like a big hunk of stainless steel there! There's definitely a trick combo of speed, compound, buffer to get it right.

I prepped the gunwales. Cleaned up the alum trim and punched over 100 rivets to plug all the holes. Thank the Good Lord I had that hydrolic riveter, took me no time at all. Thanks to carpe for the heads up on that too!

Time to lose the brown!

I love the look of the polished alum and white, very cool...

Besides that stuff, I got the trailer done too. New rollers, bunks, crank, jack, chains, LED lights, tires and hardware. Photos later on that.

K, that's just about where I'm at. The stern deck and the paint prep took me a ton of time. Just taping the alum trim took me a couple hours.

I still have so much to do, Ryan (5) said this morning he thinks no way it'll be ready this weekend:rolleyes:
