Re: 1980 Sea Nymph SS 165 Rebuild

"Either do or don't do, there is no try" I think that's what Yoda said.

I just used that last week:cool: Great, now I have to fly another whole kind of nerd flag.

Dedication to task/purpose. Yep, I reckon you'll hit that target! Floatin' & under power, function over form.....

May need to stock up on the coffee beans & brew it a touch stronger:eek:

And limit to a single post per day. Photo record at splash would probably suffice;)

The mob 'may' disregard in theory & light a torch or 2, but just use that to light the work in the overnight darkest hour before dawn.

Can ya hear us cheering ya on from WV? Mixed w/ the occasional jeer, or 3:)

About 10 - 5 hour energy drinks ought to be just about right for 3 straight days. Go dog go!

Jas, you are the proverbial one-armed paper-hanger. You'll get there.

You guys rock, crack me up!

I decided to go ahead with the stern deck build so that ate up some serious time. I'll see if I can get something to show you guys tomorrow eh!

Cheers fellas!

Re: 1980 Sea Nymph SS 165 Rebuild

Check it out, my local dealer had one for 2 bux! Something affordable at the dealer, cool:cool:

IMO they should have that tail tale at the top of the cylinder.

I had my bacon saved a few weeks ago because I saw a week stream coming from the tail on my 650, I got water to the bottom cylinders, but the top one was getting starved.
the tale tail is mounted at the top of the cylinders ;)

my FIL's 85rude does not have a tale tail at all, he overheated the engine one time really good because of it.
Still runs pretty good, but the left 2 cylinders are a different color than the right...
Very tough engines :)

Busier than a one armed bricklayer in Baghdad! :D

Jas, we'll just keep the thread bumped with a contest for the worst "busier than" joke or like saying (being from MS, I have a decided advantage in the learned art of red-neck wit).

So, with that said: Jas, I'm sure your working "faster than a jackrabbit on moonshine" while sweatin' like a ***** in church" because your garage is "hotter than two gerbils making babies in a wool sock" - all just trying to get that boat "finer than frog's hair."

Just make sure you build those gunwales "horse high, pig tight and bull strong." Oh, and "don't sell your mule to buy a plow" (You've been known to do that on us).

Thanks folks, be sure and tip your waitress, I'll be here all week.... (insert cymbal crash).:facepalm::facepalm:
