On to the splashwell drains. Here's the Moeller Flanging Tool...

Pushed in my drain tubes for measurement. I had to order the long ones to accommodate my fat transom...

Scribed a cut line...

Cut and check for fit...

5200...

Pushed in the tube and lined up the tool...

1. That was easy. Yup $30 for the tool, but ya it's worth it. Though I could buy more outboard boats and really get my moneys worth though!

2. I didn't need the extra "fittings" the instructions indicate, really didn't make much sense to me. (thanks DJ)

3. I only got 5200 on 70% of my body, not bad!

Got some trailer work done too, more on that later.

Cranking it out, Jas...nice booty score...
Shield looks like it's gonna be a nice fit...
And, yeah, sometimes, the right tool for the job makes all the difference...

Looking Good!

Get a tinny and others will envy you, PMC. ;)

Jason - How many shares of 3M do you own? You're spending the dividends on 5200. But your boats won't leak. EVER :)

Is that thru hull fitting a bit too low? Or does your bilge pump(or line) have a one-way valve in it ?

Looks to be the location a PO chose, maybe even factory.....

Should be okay, still going to be well above the waterline.

The other pic made it look a bit lower than it actually is.

Re: 1980 Sea Nymph SS 165 Rebuild

Thanks a bunch guys!:D

Yah, I'm purdy amped about those splashwell drains. They really make for a pro sorta look;)

Bonair - Yah, that's a factory bilge location. Like Mark mentioned, way above water line.

TII - Well, sorta. They are PVC with the stainless cap. They run about 25 bux less each than the all stainless ones:redface: Anywho, there is a hearty layer of 5200 in between so no sweat;)

I'm still way behind schedule though.I really need for a lot of things to go very smooth from here on to even get close!
