I hope you got your money's worth on that weld job....

My little boat is going on vacation with me to Lake Leelanau in August!!! Can't wait!

I paid $45 for that (he hit one other 4" spot too). He got it done quick so I'll say that $30 of it was for it just being fast. There I feel better:rolleyes:

Hey, when does the big boat go on vacation? 2013?

Grind that ugly ol weld down and move on, time is short!!! Sure looks like it coulda been prepped more, Nice hatches, might have just changed my floor hatch plans. Looking good, less sleep more work.

You should know better than to ask a question like that. My thread is full of missed predictions, but yes, that's the plan.

That's about right for the "I'll look at" it price. I'm surprised there isn't a mig in your tool stable or one at the school. It did look a little like a hack for a pro, but nothing a grinder can't fix.

Just got word...

They found the boys and one of the men hanging on to the capsized boat. The other tried to swim to shore and he has not yet been found.

Even better that they came from a sacrificial glasser;)

Shhhhhh, don't tell the glitter boat guys though. They get all grumpy about such things:D

Just checking in...Looks like you're making good progress! BTW, I, for one, do not get grumpy at the site of a re-purposed glasser...rather, I think it's the enjoyment you tinnies get from cutting them up...disturbing!

...lurking...

Nice progress as usual there jas.

it's good to see that they found all 4 people and were in good shape. They did find the 4th one who tried to swim to shore. Good thing they all had life jacket on.

Thank you good ole, US Coast Guard..... Gotta love em. you have to go out but you do not have to come back.... (sorry kind of biased individaul as and ex coastie) :D

Staying with the boat seems like a smarter idea than swimming for it.

That is ALWAYS the SMART thing to do. It is much easier finding a capsized boat than it is a person bobbing in the water.
