Another boat appearing in a Midland, Mi driveway just might fire off another Polar Vortex. And make the last one look like a heat wave.

Fellas, I'm "down" to two boats here on the property, ya know. I have a great big vacant spot in the smaller boat category. Jen gets that, she's totally cool with hauling another boat home. She completely understands:becky:

:fear::fear::fear::fear::fear:

Anyhow, I have a couple of things up for sale on craigslist. If I can scrape a few dollars together by selling any of that stuff I may go back for that Mariner. She sure aint going anywhere any time soon.

If I do happen to score that boat I was thinking this would be super awesome on the back....

Where's my buddy Teamster?

Ya know that jet would make a great Saginaw River runner for eyes, or even better yet a super Manistee River salmon & steelhead slayer.

So are jets good for skinny water? Just curious, I've never seen one outside of PWC's. Real nice power head on that!

I think it's a bit small,............

If the waters you fish have any weeds that jet pump would be a pain in the arse,........

A friend of mine tried to run one on the inland lakes here and it didn't go well, I had thought about one before watching him struggle,.....

Besides, You can get a tileer handle on 250's and 300's nowadays,...........

^ good info there :)

I had thought about one due to there being lots of lakes around here with weeds... props just require a reverse every few feet...

I had not thought about what the weeds would do to the jet pump...

All right, just so you guys know I'm not slacking here------

Since my cockpit combing pad was set up for a cabin boat that is no longer I had to pull a redo on that. I yanked all the staples, trimmed everything down to fit correctly and put it all back together....

You can see my little staple gun up there. Guys, if you are doing any kind of upholstery work you must get one, seriously. Make that kind of work a snap:thumb:

I also rand some carpet for the hatch bottoms of my big front hatch/rod locker...

So yah, still picking away here guys.

Have an excellent Sunday:joyous:

lookin good

And +1 on the staple gun

My entire "upholstery work" so far has consisted of a staple gun and some marine vinyl

I'm still figuring out the whole sewing machine thang... :D

Thanks gib! Yah buddy, I decided right off that I'll not go through the learning curve of the sewing machine. The rest of my cockpit cushions (stern and bow) will be going to my local upholstery guy. His pricing isn't horribly painful since I supply all the vinyl and cushions:thumb:

Nice re-work there man! +1 on the sewing thing... I just sew my fingers into the material.... that's a smart move there to "outsource"!

One is a 16' Sea Nymph dual console Fish & Ski and the other is a 16' Starcraft Mariner. Both would make nice boats but I think the Mariner would suit my needs best...

What needs are those? Both pretty good looking boats! Love Mariners myself.

"Anthony Padilla, 52, is now asking authorities to investigate, according to minbcnews.com.

He put pizza boxes in the woods to lure the alleged creature, which then handled the boxes and left behind hair samples."

Above is a quote from the article. Little bit of deductive reasoning reasoning here: Jas lives in Midland --> Jas loves pizza --> Jas was all decked out with his wooly beard a few weeks back--> Jas is clumsy and slow (trust me on this one)....

So, I don't think Jas is in the search party, I think he is the target of the search party.

Re: 1976 22' Starcraft Islander Rebuild

I want it noted in my iboats file:

I had no hand in these bigfoot shenanigans ^^^ (is Bigfoot supposed to be capitalized??? my browser thinks so??? I think ALL CAPS would be more appropriate: BIGFOOT)

Good stuff thought. I bet it's a competition between Jas & the boys about who can eat the most BIGFOOT toes. Not a speed eating competition, 'cause that'd be just plain silly...................
