Looking real nice man. I for-see the consoles soon being installed. Spring is coming......I think but certainly couldn't tell that by the weather we are having and the temps for the next few days.

Good question, I forgot to talk that through. At the time I rolled that on it was actually pretty warm here, like upper 30's. I was able to maintain the garage at the upper 50's lower 60's range pretty easily for a couple days. That stuff dries really fast which is nice. You can pretty much walk on it the next day.

Ok thanks, I didnt know if you could get by applying it in colder temps or not. Looks great!

Hey Jason,

Wow, what a good job you've done. I admit to being a skeptic at first, now I'm a convert! Nice work man! :)

Yesterday I happened to noticed that our day was longer, only by a smidge, barely, but I did notice. I think that will continue;)

Programming note, I thought this was kinda ironic....

So January 8, 2010 I had a snowday and ended up scoreing this Islander, here's what she looked like back then...

January 8, 2011 not a snowday but it was a Saturday, I pulled home the Jet Star...

Today, we have a snowday!!!!:snowman:

There seems to be something very interesting about this "absolute dead of winter" time of year for me and boats. I think I may go for a drive today and just see if anything turns up.........

Talking of snow days, I've seen the "big freeze" Vortex stuff on our news. Hope you are all OK up there in the USA and Cannuckland!

Not sure how this got by you Jas, perhaps it was too close to the start of the new school year. I know you enjoy this fine winter weather we've been getting, esp when they declare multiple snow days in a row :smow: but this might brighten your day too:

Waterless boat races????

All you need now is a decent 'tow' vehicle :watermelon:

How'd the 1/8 anniversary turn out?

BTW: looking back to get the correct date, you've got both the Jet & Islander listed as being drug home in 2010..

OK fellas, wouldn't ya know it, I was so surprised to wake up with another snow day today :snowman: What a sweet gift! Technically they closed up do to the "extreme" temperatures. Yah Jim, kinda wimpy really. But, no complaints coming from me, happy to have the day!! :joyous:

So this morning I moved a bunch of Islander build stuff down to the basement. Hopefully I can get after that here over the next few days.

I also to a trip to my local marine dealer. He has a bone yard out back with probably a hundred glassers laying all over the place. He has exactly two aluminum boats back there too (I looked). Both potential candidates for my next project...

One is a 16' Sea Nymph dual console Fish & Ski and the other is a 16' Starcraft Mariner. Both would make nice boats but I think the Mariner would suit my needs best...

The ol fella who owns the place told me he wanted $750 for the Sea Nymph and $500 for the Starcraft. Firm, couldn't budge him any. Real bummer cuz I wasn't interested in coughing quite up that much. Both boats are in sound, original condition but they are a mess. They have been sitting back there for many years. Trailers are real rough too.

So, I left em behind, rats. Ah well no biggie. I have a couple of other boats here to keep my attention for now:becky:

I love the way you say the Starcraft would "suit your needs", because you really have needs for another boat lying around :becky:
