I still recommend rod socks for the rods, Even in the tubes,....

With the graphite rods today one scratch is enough to let it brake,.....And usually when the biggest fish of your life is on the line,......lol,..

Yup... startin' to really take shape man! I like the setup there.... gonna have a lot of usable space for stowage, chilling and getting down to business!

You are looking good with the consoles.. You do have a few holes to fill, but I bet you have some great ideals for this..

Like the rod holder too.. Great work..:joyous:

All right fellas, still moving along here. You can see I installed that new bulkhead to finish off those rod tubes...

With all that sub deck structure in place, I'm about ready to install the deck now. I dropped in the original decking just for a quick dry fit. This new structure I built brought it up 4" higher. So, the basic shape of the decking is exactly the same, just slid a little further forward. Which means I have the template all made, great time saver right there! All I need to do is make the whole deck a few inches longer and run with it.

Cheers Guys:joyous:

Looks real good Jason, and not having to make a new template is bonus.

Nice work on the rod locker (bulkhead)...

Are you going to be able to make some progress this week?

Keep plugging along.

Thanks fellas! Yah, I actually laid out those templates (original deck) this morning and cut out the new deck. That sure helped me skip a big step of making new templates from scratch. I'll post up when I get the new deck down. I still have to seal it up and such over the next couple of days. I'll get there, one way or another.

Then cut out, dry fit, seal up the bottom with epoxy, few extra pieces of flotation in there, fat strings of PL across the top of the stringers...

Laid down, secured with deck screws...

You didn't just close off the rod locker, did you? I see what look like cut marks for the locker lid.

Nice deck for hauling in the big ones!

Yah, closed off for the moment. I'll cut out the rod locker and a pair of hatch openings down the road a bit here.

I am missing one of my small children a the moment though, hmmmmmm:rolleyes:

Ah well, that hatch isn't exactly air tight so they should be alright:becky:
