Yah guys, I'll be happy to take some of that Kona right along with that "passed" coffee:D

PMC - On it bro! This is my game to win:D

You can do it! All you need to do is mount a kicker bracket and you can have it on the water tomorrow. :D

Splashing her in the UP for the second voyage sounds awesome, great idea:D

Manistique Lake, up near Germfask. Huge lake and lots of fish too. I love the names of places up there.:)

Lots of time left, I'm sure you can make it!

Re: 1976 22' Starcraft Islander Rebuild

Well, I just upped the ante. I just called and we are making it a full week at the cabin rather than just a weekend:):)

-----------------------------------------

OK, went out, got a few steps farther in carpentry on the port side fish box.

Then I started eyeballin the Islander and thinking through all the steps to completion. Wough baby, I have a long way to go. I have a few big things to accomplish and a thousand small ones.

Then I walked out to the Sea Nymph to flip her over and push her back. Well I stopped and thought through the steps to completion on that boat. Long way there too.

I can't help but wonder if one would be (should be) quicker to the finish line than the other.

Hmmmmmmmm.........

I'll need to stew on this some. Maybe make a decision in the morning (morning run eh:))

Edit: Sorry, please disregard my wondering mind. I've gotta stick with the Islander:D

The Islander would make a nice tow rig for the SN. 1 for fun (for now) the other for fishing (in infinitum)

But for sure it's better to do the 1 well then both 1/2way....

I can do it, I just need to focus, and not sleep, and drink more coffee:facepalm::)

Please do not take this the wrong way, but the LAST time you went for a run, you turned a thread upside down , and had me, for one, totally speechless!

No more runs, work work work !!!!!!!!!

Ah sheesh, I am such a dope! One step forward, two steps back this morning!!! BAH!

So, got some coffee in the tank, excited to get rolling, started right off in the wee hours of the day, looking for some good progress.

So I took the port side fish box carcass and went to make the hatch access cuts. Took it up to the shop, flipped it over, carefully marked the layout lines, made the cuts.

Here are the cuts I was supposed to make...

Here is what I actually did...

Yup, I didn't account that the box carcass was flipped over - trying to work too fast! AAAAAAkkkkkkkkK!!!!! Rats!

Fer cryin out loud, whaaaat a doofis:rolleyes:

A bit frustrated. It's fixable, pretty easy actually. I'm just bummed I lost a work session this morning. BAH! BLLLAAKKEHEHPTT!

OK, I feel better now:)

Measure twice cut once!! Been there done that, many times. Usually it is only a mistake to the person that did it, no one else will notice.
