There just aren't words for how funny that is.
Jason, your thread is insane. I cannot believe how much effort you put in to taking pics and writing about everything. Nice job, I have enjoyed reading it.
I'm just going to leave this here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNI6dQqIGWU&NR=1
Hi i'm new to this thread but had to reply as I have a 1974 22 Islander that I am currently re making. I awl-gripped it and installed a 400 hp Ford crate 302 that was set up for a scarab that we had laying around. We had to change mounts, brackets and put a bravo drive with some other items, but it has come out rather nice. Currently I am redoing carpet, and interior, and going to install a silent choice exhaust.
I was wondering if anyone had any trim pieces for the hull molding, dash parts, etc. Yes this is going to be the sickest ride in the Chesapeake and I will post some photos for you guys soon.
OMG,
i may have wet myself ... wait .. yep ... i did ...
that is sooooooo awesome !
Bin there done that but there was only about 80 pages at thet time. It is a great read with lots of good info.Guys-
I found this thread while searching the Web for some info -- just spent two hours reading from page one..... made it to page 14. I had to register with the website so I can continue the saga! Absolutely great commentary and a fantastic rebuild! Looking forward to wasting hours more finishing it up. I appreciate the entertainment!

hey jas, I'm searching your thread (that will tough to follow) looking for what you used for your plywood ((too many pages takes too long, good reading though)), did you use marine, or exterior? by the way, I noticed that when I was tearing out the wood in my Islander, all the wood was stamped exterior on the pieces that were not rotted to dust. was your also??

I believe he used marine grade for the transom and auruco for everything else.
Extension ladder put to good use actually......I added a whole bunch of additional alum structure under there. .
I found red stamping on my transom as well, though it wasn't very legible.I think I do remember seeing a faint red stamp on my wood. That must have been what it was.

We need video of this .Last time I needed one I had to bust out my climbing gear and roped up to the chimney.
I have a feeling the Jet Star may not be my last.
