Here is what the transom looks like. Just needs paint. Mixed up another small batch of marine tex to patch the rest of the holes. I put tape over the vertical holes so it doesn't run out. I used #10 SS screws to attach the patch to the transom tray. 5200 is everywhere! Had to try the caps.
Now you can really see the condition of the bottom paint. I'm not sure if I'll bother with the pressure washer yet. Probably start with an ice chipper or hoe. From what I can tell so far the aluminum is in surprisingly good shape. Can't see evidence of pitting....Yet.
