I appreciate the compliments guys.

Here's my first attempt at doing some sewing. The console got a couple coats of spar and some lines drawn where the vinyl strip is going.

The biggest problem is I messed up on the layout of the gauges.... They're just not centered on the stripe like they should've been.

I've got some new gauges, steering wheel, and a bunch of other stuff from iboats on the way.

Nice work. I like the vinyl on the console. Good color combo and who says men can't sew.

Looks great CJ, nobody would have noticed the little bit of offset in the gauges and vinyl if you hadn't said anything. Sometimes it sucks being a perfectionist that makes mistakes... I'm right there with you friend!

The gauges might be a little off, like WM I didn't notice until I read your note. I was too busy admiring your vinyl work. Different than we're used to seeing, but darn nice. Very nice, CJ.

Very nice cj, looks like you have been doing it for ever. I don't think it matters how long or how many of these we do, when your planning you have a vision and no matter how we try the project doesn't turn out exactly like out vision, and that's where the character comes from. But man it's fun trying.

Exactly.. I see what you are saying about them being centered..... ONLY after you mentioned it... I was thinking dern man.. this is your first sewing attempt... You must be stoked about the outcome.

The console is complete minus one switch to work the fuel gauge between the tanks.

I made a few mistakes with the seats, but I'm getting better at this sewing stuff.

Hey - CJ - I like the alternate stripes on the seats. And I promise your tush won't notice any boo-boos. You did a heckuva lot better than I would!

Re: 1974 Chieftan 21' 165 Mercruiser I/O

Went on a little spring break vacation. We were visiting friends and family from MI, IN, KY, and MO. It's good to be back home and working on the tin.

The seat boxes have spar on them and are getting some Nautolex installed. I built a couple of seats for the bow boxes. The side gunnel boards are cut out and sparred. Hopefully, I'll get some white vinyl tomorrow to cover them in.

Jumpin' Jiminy - She's looking good, CJ. Did she always have a flat floor instead of the step down into the cabin? I like the flat/no step floor.

You sure tore into the Chief this month, the weather must be cooperating for you there. Everything is looking great CJ. The side panels going to have the same vinyl too?
