Well grinding still sucks. Got the center stringers tabbing ground out and I am ready to install the new stringer.

Never thought about using cypress .... Maybe a bit pricey but if it takes the resin should last a looooooong time ...

I glassed in stringers until I ran out of 1708. The tall center stringer used up lots. While waiting for more,I started on the bow floor. Cut the panel, foamed in with 4 #foam and cut to size. Then bedded it in with pb and csm.

Stringers are wrapped all they way back to motorbox. Added some extra bracing for mounting a V8. :)

1st layer 1 and 1/2 oz csm, then two layers 1708 overlapping 2 and 4 inches.

I'd recommend two more layers of 1708. That's pretty typical for Motor mounts. 4 layers of 1708. Bulk is your friend in this area.;):thumb:

Lots more glass going in to bilge area. Bilge bulkhead glassed in place. Added another layer of csm and 1808 along bottom of transom and around stringers. Put cap back on and now foaming in under floor.

Looks good ! I like using the 1808 .... The way the weave is attached square to the csm to me it seems easier to bend around the corners and don't get all pulled out of shape as bad as 1708 ..

Took the Mustang to the Island lake resin rot and rivets boat show. I had a great day in Orange City. Met some nice people rode in Glaspar G3.

Today I cut the foam under this piece of deck. Laid down a fillet of pb and screwed down 1/2 inch exterior a/c board with 2 1/2 inch deck screws. Wood had a bow in it so I had to put c side up. It will be covered with glass.
