Re: 1968 15' Starcraft Jet Star Rebuild

Watch out making 2011 predictions, the mob is watching. The possible 2nd splash is barely keeping them at the gate!

But they are mustering IN MICHIGAN:

Best wishes for you & yours for the holidays! Keeping the wife happy w/ a finished kitchen for Xmas? If not that may jeopardize a Happy New Year's Eve...... The warden was none too happy to make a 2hr detour to pick up the 650 Merc yesterday on the drive back from Louisville.....

Progress is progress, even if its standing & staring......

My ice fishing stuff has a lot of dust on it and doesn't look like it will get blown off till January!!! You should have plenty of time for boat rides...don't forget the fishing pole. Good time for pike, walleye, and gills.

Thanks for swinging through guys;). Yah, I'd love to have it out one more time yet!

I got a bit done on the Jet but since my puter is smashed I don't have photos for ya. Since I don't have photos it technically didn't happen:rolleyes:

Have an awesome weekend everybody:)

I'm still stewing about how I'll support that deck piece. I think I have it figured, then I think on it more, then I change my mind:rolleyes: I should make a video to show ya the set up.

Sounds like you need to quit messing around and get some pic/vid tech going. If your just worried about sag some short stringers tagged to the underside should stiffen it up nicely.

Ok, quick update guys...

I have the helm seat in. I'm glad I don't particularly have photo posting abilities at the moment - I think a few of you guys will think it's boarderline ghetto. I like it though:)

Paint is drying on the stern casting deck piece too.

At the moment I might be scheming to take this boat out one more time. If the weather is somewhat reasonable and my wife happens to be looking the other way I may just make a run for it:D

Hey, let's have an awesome 2012 fellas, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!:D

Hey, do what ya gotta do! She already knows your thinking it. Is it too cool for the Admiral to tag along for photo support? Mine has a fairly narrow temperature window for 'approved' wind & water excursions!:D I still get heat for a solo paddle in the rain on the river....

Good luck w/ the stealth mission today!

Happy & safe new year to us all!

Thanks for the update.

Awaiting photos. :)

Look back at 2011 and see all you have accomplished & be proud. May 2012 be even better! Get out and enjoy that tub!

Stealth Float - Don't you need a Sneak Boat for that?

According to my calculations, you have 13 hours, 42 minutes (+1 hour CST) to finish the Jet and squeeze in a final 2011 float. But who cares? The MOB, that's who!

Happy New Year, Jason.

How ghetto can they be? You didn't use upside down spackle buckets did you?

Or some stylish, color coordinated plastic milk crates. Perfect summertime ventilation. And the waffle pattern on his backside to make up for the lack of quilted upholstery. LOL

Re: 1968 15' Starcraft Jet Star Rebuild

^^^ Thats funny GA, I was thinking the same thing except hoping he remembered to take 1 of those PFD's that were lacking in his 1st splash trip.... And used it as seat cushion~No waffles that way.... Especially when the Admiral reviews the footage!:) Less hot water adds up to more frequent boat passes through the remaining winter dry dock. Which gets to be problematic when your working on them 2 at a time....

Hope you were able to get away & afloat 1 last time in 2011!
