Let it cure, sanded it down, cleaned and...

I thought to myself, this thing weighs hardly anything but it seems strong! So, just before my morning run I set it on some saw horses and jumped up on it...

Just about 190 lbs. on 1/4" plywood, pink foam and PL, the thing didn't even flex, at all! BOMBER!

Certainly understand about the family duties... That said, when you get your pants back^^^ from the Mrs. and are ready to splash this thing.... we'll be waiting....

(okay, I know, that's gettin' personal and is just plain wrong....just harassing a little, my friend). :p

Then I started getting itchy to have this boat in the water so I started setting up. Got the bilge plug in, cranked up the bow, chained er down, and hooked up the transom straps...I was getting excited!

It's inevitable now, you're bitten. You know, once the vampire sinks his teeth in, there's no way you don't get to be one! You'll be on the way to the lake at the first opportunity! Way to go!!!

Make sure you stay in the middle on Sanford. There are some stumps out there and they let the water down in the winter...I would hate to see a dinged up ss prop!!!

Fellas thanks for swinging through and encouraging/talking smack. Can always count on you guys!:D

mccraney - yur a punk, I may or may not swing through your thread and talk trash to you buddy. We'll see;) rrumba has you pegged anyway!

maddie - yah, I'm hoping they haven't let the water through yet. I should swing out there to check. If it is too low the bigger problem would be with the launch at the state park there. Ah, there are other options if need be.

ez - are you thinking through the vent, right? Really, back there, that deck is nearly flat...

Flipping em would make a difference, but as you can see, not much.

Just a few tweeks here and there for this this mornings progress. The deck was a mess so I ran the shop vac, got it all cleaned up. I am expecting my fuse block today and I really want that bilge pump hooked up before I put this Jet in the water.

I am super pumped for this week!!!! Jet in the water (hopefully) and Thanksgiving (my absolute favorite time of the whole year)! Yah baby!!!!:D

Have not been by in a while. Boat is looking real good Jason. Next time you take some pictures step back a little and get a full shot of the interior for us from the stern.

Yah man, my sleeping habits are entirely ridiculous. I need to get that straightened out.

I do believe I have the helm seating all figured. The stern deck is kinda kicking my butt though. I have figured a hundred different ways to set that up and I'm not 100% happy with any of them. Mixing function, strength, and good lookin is a challenge. No biggie, I'll win in the end:)

A Thursday launch? Are you sure that won't attract skillets? Maybe Jen won't mind T-day dinner on the casting deck. I know my bride is a little more traditional. Christmas, Thanksgiving, Anniversary and birthday are only spent with her or family. Gives me a lot of play time.

Hope you gitrdun, Jas!!!

Teamster - nice link to glassers falling apart:D Man those are some awesome metal tubs on that site!

Yah fellas, the weather looks excellent on Turkey day...

http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/midland-mi/48642/hourly-weather-forecast/329377?day=3

I'd have to make it happen first thing in the morning as we have a noon family eatin time and that won't finish up till dark. I think I can shoot out and back within a two hour window. We'll see how that plays out. I'll likely be daddy on duty while the wife is tending to other stuff though. Maybe I'm dreaming here:facepalm:

Huh, now that I think of it.... Yah, no way I'll be able to make that run on Thursday.

Friday afternoon looks cloudy but nice and warm!

Maybe that'll be the ticket:D
