Keeping me on my toes eh fellas:D

Tell ya what, that Jet is bare minimum water ready as she sits. If I see a window to shoot out to the lake, I may just take it.;)

Teachers don't work Sunday, right?
Get her wet! :D
I'd take my boat out today but someone ran a red light and nailed my Scion at 45 and my rental doesn't have a hitch. :(

You must have me confused with a man who has only one job:redface:

Yikes!

I hear ya, I hate cars. The other day I went and picked up my truck (thought it was a fuel pump issue). Ended up being electrical and my mechanic showed me what to to to fix it, no charge! I thought it was going to be a $500+ job! Sweet right!!!! Went home, told Jen, she was pumped!

She ran out to the store and got into a car wreck:facepalm: She and the boy were fine but the Odyssey is borderline totaled.

Ah, I'm just hoping to have her float and run:redface:

Managed to sneak in a few other jobs.

Bilge pump got bolted to the bilge using one of the little bolts I used to repair the hols from the po. Hose routed too, I like how that is sitting now...

I got all four cleats installed, bomber...

Here is what I did for my trolling motor deep cell batt - I riveted in the tie downs to a pair of ribs and laid down some noodles...

Strapped in the batt box...

I should have just enough room to slide in an anchor on one side with still a bunch of space on the other so that's cool.

Here is what the set up looks like at the stern -

Twin 6 gal tanks strapped down, batt yet to be strapped...

No wasted space in there! I actually have a little room on each side and behind those tanks for PFD's and such.

Side note...
The straps I used there were swiped off a totally nasty baby car seat that needed to be tossed out. Nice seat belt style freebee;)

Then I started getting itchy to have this boat in the water so I started setting up. Got the bilge plug in, cranked up the bow, chained er down, and hooked up the transom straps...

I was getting excited!

Jen stepped out in the garage to see what I was up to...

She said, "Hey the boat is looking good!"

I say, "Yah, it's just about ready to take to the lake!"

She says, "Uhhhh, you remember what we talked about before. You know how I'm going to have a total melt down if this boat gets done before my kitchen?"

Me, "Uh yah hon, I remember that. I'm gonna head over and work in the kitchen for a little while now."

Sorry to hear about the minivan! But I'm glad Jen and your son are OK and your truck didn't need big $$$ thrown at it!
I'll find out if they're totaling mine out tomorrow or the next day... There's a good bit of damage, but I don't think the "frame" is bent. Alignment even seemed OK afterwards. If it's totaled I might have to look into something with a little more tow capacity. ;) Say, a little more than a loaded Islander. :D

First I must tell you that I am not an attorney,...

However I am a Teamsters Union Steward,....

My line of thinking is that the most important word in your wife's statement is "DONE", The Jetstar SC is far from "DONE",..Thereby you should be fully in the clear for a splash/sea-trial ,...So long as your kitchen remodel is "DONE" before the boat is "DONE",...

It is at this point that I should also point out that I am a single man and taking my advice in this matter may or may not be a good idea,........

The word "Done" can be very dangerous. Especially when applied to remodeling projects and boats. You have to pick your battles carefully, but what harm could a little flotation test be??

Just for clarification, in her book...

In the water = done

No winning on that one guys.

It may be worth the beat down:)

I don't think one has to go that far for a kitchen to be "done",..

So long as a microwave is functional you have a kitchen!!

Fingers crossed for mucho kitchen progress, good weather, and safe sea-trial Jason.

Make sure those fuel tanks are full, the batteries are fully charged and don't forget to put the plug in.

And for God's sake don't forget the camera!

I heard a rumor that cast iron skillets make good anchors. Jas, you want to test that out? But they sometimes have to be cut away because they are too heavy to retrieve.
