I am very happy to hear the great news of your grandson and daughter. That must be a big relief for your daughter and your family.
My thoughts and prayers or with you and yours.
I wouldn't worry about the fourm rules and in this case I don't think anyone else is either.
Hope you get things back to normal soon. Good luck with a splash on the 4th.

I fear we may have broken EVERY forum rule and if so I apologize. My Daughter even told me today to get the BF fixed so we could maybe go boating on the 4th!!! Looks like I've got some Glassin to do now!!!

Rules are made to be broken, WOG. The power behind the bits and bytes here are people like you and all the other members. I'm happy to hear that life is returning to normal. And by normal I mean the pressure is back on you to fix the BF and re-splash by OMG - Wednesday. No more posts until after the Fourth, you don't have the time. LOL

Wood, just spent about 3.5 hrs studying this thread. Lots of great stuff. And while I am relatively new to the iboats Formus, from a boating standpoint, and I am certain many of those subscribed to this thread will agree with me, this is one of the more significant threads one will find, and largely due to your skills both in the shop and in communicating what you do there. But, after reading about the close call your family recently suffered and the responses of your many friends here, it's obvious we all understand there are things more important in this world than our boats, not the least of which is looking out for each other. As the owner of two aluminum hull boats, a while back I went looking for help and found it in the Starcraft Starmada where the comraderie and appreciation for one another of Forum participants is remarkable, as it is in this thread. We all put our heart and soul into our projects, but it's great to know that our iBoats friends are a great deal more than the boat projects we know them for.

Best wishes to you and your family for a great holiday weekend. Enjoy them grand kids, be safe,

I continue to be amazed at the quality of people here on the iBoats forum. Being a "Fixer" personality and NOT being able to "FIX" anything about the latest situation, I found that this forum gave me a respite from the anxiety and fear. Some might think it insensitive of me to be posting during this time, but it was actually a way for me to deal with the situation and Not feel so helpless. I could still HELP someone even if it wasn't my own flesh and blood. To me, this forum is all about that. Helpinng each other. I am not the best Boat Restoration Guru out there, far from it, but... My life experiences have led me down MANY various and diverse paths, and I DO research, investigate, watch, listen, learn from everyone around me and then apply that knowledge and pass on what my experiences teach me. I know most all of us do that. If you don't, then your life is not as fulfilled as it could be IMHO. I thank all of you for posting your kind words and showing your support. When I retire, if I am fortunate to be able to travel the country a bit, I just might drop in on some of you, and give you a personal hart felt Thank You.

The BF is going Back in the Water on Friday. Will try and take Pics and Vids to share.
