HEY!!!!

Oh wait you weren't talking bout me personally were you.

You're either:

too sensitive

or

have real issues best handled by a professional, in person & on a couch instead of a bunch of boat junkies on an internet forum:D

Possibly both:facepalm:

The fat guy eying the cookies would be me:)

Mother's took precedence this weekend. All my kids and Grandkids showed up at the house along with MY 92 year old Mom.

MenMom2.jpg

I was assigned "Grilling" duties and Picnic Table Setup sooo.... needless to say, BF is Still in Dry Dock. However, My lovely wife came to me last night after everyone had gone home and said that since I was such a good sport and did not complain about anything all weekend, that NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!!! This coming weekend she would do everything in her power to help ensure that the BF gets splashed. I immediately got on the phone and called my friend at the lake and got a committment from him for next Saturday. Having said all of this, I am now reverting back to NOT making any further comments about this topic until something of a more "WET" nature occurs. Thank you all for your kind opinions and concern and for stopping in to check on me and the Blue Flamingo. I WILL keep you posted as events occur.

WOG,
What a great pic. Looks like you and yours had a beautiful day for a outside grilling.
Your mother looks great. Glad to see she is still enjoying all the family. That is a blessing.

On another note, Thanks again for your help with the gel coat question.
Gave me the answer I needed with your help.

Hi Woody,
I finally got out of school for the summer! I just wanted to peek in and see what you are up to. You and your mom look to be in good health so I pray for the continuance of health and happiness to you both.
Dave.

Here's a pic of a Blue Flamingo coming off the trailer for her maiden voyage

Photo0363-1.jpg

Here she is tied up at the Dock waiting for the Admiral to come aboard.

Under way, with the bow Flag Flappin in the Breeze.

Captain @ the Helm...

And last but not least a video of her under way...

Motor ran like a new one. She is WAY under powered so I am going to have to get the 70 hp Merc ASAP!!! Also found out just how SMALL an old 15' runabout is. I was a lot Skinnier back in the 60's.

That's all the GOOD news.

The bad news... The wind picked up so we decided to quit early and load up. Got the trailer ready, was fighting the wind but got her lined up and gunned her to put her on the trailer and heard and felt this awful thud and scraping. She lurched a bit and then loaded right on up straight as a string. Wife pulled me out and I disembarked to take a look at what the heck happened. I WAS NOT HAPPY. The Allignment rollers on the back of the boat were set to low (by the stupid guy that rebuilt the trailer. MEEEEEEE) So basically I rammed the keel right into the back cross member of the trailer and pretty much destroyed it. She might even be cracked!!!!! I'm SICK!!!! REAL SICK!!! To top it off the wife slipped in the boat and fell and hurt her back. NOT A GOOD DAY!!!!! Gunna take a while for me to recover from this day. I sincerely hope everyone else's day was a LOT better than mine. What was supposed to be an Enjoyably day turned in to a Nightmare very quickly.
