glad to hear ya got out there Charles....but never feel bad, Its supposed to be fun...do it when you feel like it! There are plenty of restore threads here that took years and years(including woods), because they work and have active family lives.
The restoration project should be an escape from the everyday, not a job. It just happens that my everyday escape has more time. Wife at work, son at school. I have nothing else to do, so this little project of mine helps me stay sane. I used to work 90 hour weeks, so now I don't know how to sit still (much to the detriment of my wife and doctors lol) I will slow down soon myself, cold weather of winter and hot weather from summer have a huge impact on my health. I get my most productivity during the spring and fall months because the weather is just right.

Enjoy your project and we look forward to watching it progress!

man that is one sweet looking trailer now..... with the flamingo on that it would almost be a shame to put it her in the water and get them both wet........ what am i saying, get her on there and in the water so everyone will be envious on the water and all the other trailers will have to hide their tongues in shame......

Well, ya really gotta sit down and ask yourself, "What are my priorities here?". :p

On the other hand, that might recharge your batteries to get back at it! ;) Sometimes a break in the action is the best thing to speed you up!

The trailer looks great- Those whitewalls add that finishing touch to it for sure!

I agree- You need a nice Ford Pickup to pull it now... Perhaps that's the next project?? :)

How did you do the white walls anyhow? way you said it made me think you didn't buy white walls but somehow painted them? I have always liked the way whitewalls looked, and it gives it a classic look to go with that classic boat

Yep, I followed the advice of another iBoater with a classic boat, andgott, and he said to use the Cheapo white Wal-Mart paint, and paint em. So.... I taped em off, and did just that. Two coats and voila' they look Factory!!! He said his have lasted for two years. I too, think they are the icing on the cake. Took about an hour to do all 3.

This is how mine look after two years- I have the nice chrome hubcaps, too- But they're off for this photo (worth too much on the black market- I keep 'em locked up!!)-

Hey Clipper,
Thanks for stopping by. How's your Boat coming along??? She's one of my favorites. I'm kinda Old and Slow but getting there. Trailers almost complete so, I'll get the boat mounted back on there and then get the motor all hooked back up and maybe splash her if we get a Freaky nice day this winter. It happens here in Okla. Some times. Heck I've played golf in January in shorts. We'll have to see how it goes.

Good hearin from ya.
