Well I stopped by the paint store tonight to get the trailer paint and primer....I just tell them that I have too much money, so I thought I would stop by.....the stuff is liquid gold! Looks like the weather may cooperate with me....its supposed to be in the 50's all weekend. Now all I have to do is get the rest of the prep work done! I'm heading out tonight to work on the body work and drilling a few holes. Hopefully it will be primed by the end of the day tomorrow and ready for paint!

Well tonight I sanded down the outside frame rail to smooth things up. The original channel frame was pretty rough, so I decided it needed some botox! I did a little grinding, then smeared on the botox. I'm going to hit it with 120 on the DA tomorrow and then get some primer on it...I also need to sand down the axle. Here are a couple of shots from tonight.

I have a feeling that this boat and trailer are going to be going to some boat shows in the future

That paint job looks great, nice work!! I love the color. That would look good hooked up to our Mountaineer, especially if it was gold instead of silver.

yeah yeah yeah...I'm just cleaning up things! Today I pulled out the trailer ( in the wonderful weather...hope old man is gone!) and worked on paint prep....making welds look clean and dressing ups some of the outside frame. I shot some etching primer, then followed up with some filling primer...looking good, hopefully I can get some paint on it tomorrow!

Keep that warm weather coming our way. I'll bet it is really nice working outside. I have been helping my friend Rob with his boat this weekend here in TN. I won't be home until next week.

Hey arch- the trailer looks really good primed. I'm assuming your probably painting right now.

So I've been looking around for a trailer, just to see if there's anything out there cheap that's in better shape than mine and I came across this

Hey Mick I think you need that one! It could be your project next winter

Not painting yet, need it to warm up a little more. I've been drilling holes for the grommets and "wire management clips".....all 38 of them, I'm just glad they were only 1/8" holes! I also had a couple holes to drill for rollers on the cross-members. Now I just need the sun to do its thing!

Tired...long day but the trailer is painted! I was painting away...just about done with the color coat...stepped back and took a look....hmmm that looks like a silver with a little red in it.....hmmm that looks like too much red! Sure enough they mixed the wrong color! Fortunatly I still had some silver from the boat, and it was enough to cover the exposed parts! Some of the stuff under the steps will be a little "pink". But unless you are laying upside down who cares?

WOW! That looks awesome! Are you doing the red stripe or just leaving it silver? How are you attaching your chains?

Thanks Mick...chains...... oops! Actually I have always pondered if I really want a trailer chained to me that isn't hitched to me! I'm going to drill a hole in the bottom of the tongue to bolt them too. By the way we know you have been secretly working on your trailer......

Yes..very nice, one of my favorite stadiums in the PCL. I played for them in 2007. The weather in that town in the summer scared the hell out of me, on more than a few occasions
