UMMMMMMMMMM..........................did I see a scratch???
Great looking trailer Arch. I have been finishing mine up also, but it looks nowhere as good as yours!!

For the wiring.......Auto parts stores carry a stainless hose cover material that may work. it is braided, used for engine dress ups. Should stay flexible also!!

Keep up the great work!! can't wait to see Miss Morgan up on her shiny new ride.

Re: 16' Nescher ski boat complete restore

I thought about the wire loom (actually looked at some today)....but I was hoping to find something small enough to slide down into the grommet. I found a thin wall black tubing, but the I.D. wasn't quite big enough. I hadn't thought of the braided stainless.....that might match the paint....I'll check into it. Thanks for all the ideas guys! I'm hoping the delivery guy gets here before the weekend with the carpet, otherwise I maybe bored this weekend!

I need the carpet for the bunk boards!!! I wouldn't want Miss Morgan setting on any thing that might cause scratches! Wish it didn't look like rain, otherwise I would head to the lake!

Re: 16' Nescher ski boat complete restore

by the way I went to the parts store tonight and they only had a braided stainless "kit" for an entire engine.....$50 What do you guys think about this stuff, looks pretty cool. Anyone have any experience with it? Looks like it could be pretty useful for wire management / protection / aesthetics.

I think that would work well for you. Plus it's not to over the top- it wouldn't be a distraction.

Don't you see that under the hood in cars and trucks too?

The wire loom stuff is nice but you have to tape it with electrical tape at the ends or it will compress back to the middle and fit the wires too loosley. What are you using it for the trailer or the boat? If it is for the trailer, asphault tubing is much better choice because it is tough as nails and waterproof. If it is for the boat where? I used to work on Vehicles for people with dissabilitys and we had to encase every wire so I am kind of an expert on what to use for every aplication.

Its just decorative on the trailer skibum. I was at the bolt supply today, looked down and they had 4' pieces of black heat shrink tubing....so I picked on up, should work nicely. I think Bob mentioned that idea earlier....I just hadn't found any long enough. The carpet is supposed to be here later today!

Arch,
Sorry for not getting on eearlier this week. Today is the first time this week. I could have helped a little with the wire loom. But It's too late I guess. Like SKIBUM said, you have to stretch it out and tape it off. On Exposed ends, I flip it inside out over the end of the wire and tie wrap it. tape it, and flip it back over to produce a"cuff". Only works on one end though. In AV work the other end is usually in a strain relief anyway.

Trailer still looks good, and I like to use grommets like that. The loom would probably hold a lot of dirt anyway.

I still think the shrink wrap is the best Idea, glad you found some that will work arch.
Like everyone else, I can't wait to see that thing sitting on it's trailer in the sunlight gleaming like a new penny.
Keep it rolling.
