Thanks Sprintst, I'm looking forward to seeing what she'll run!

I tried to upload them, but it wouldn't recognize the file type....I looked in the options for uploading but didn't see anything for pdf extensions.

Damn man. Nice work. That hull is so smooth you can probably row it out to 40 mph

Some say if your hull is too smooth, it can actually slow you down. Hmmm.

For some reason I don't think it will stay that smooth too long...lakes have a way of taking care of that for you, sadly!

Hey arch,

You can do Screen captures of your pdf's and save them as jpg's and then post to photo bucket. Contact me via private message and I can help you "git er dun" if you want. Paint job is AWESOME! Can't wait to see the Topside and the Motor when you get to em. Your quality of workmanship makes all of us envious. I WILL be seeking your advice later on when it comes to painting working on my hull. Your body shop experience proved to be invaluable. She will be a MAJOR HEAD TURNER. Let me know about the PDF's

Thanks Woodonglass! I just got the trailer ready to take to the sandblasters in the morning. I decided it would be easier to pull one tire and 4 u-bolts at the sandblasters than put it on the flatbed tonight...it doesn't fit between the rails, so it was going to be a tie down challenge. Hopefully I can at least get some primer on it this weekend....Saturday looks like it will be a good day for it. I'll post some pics of it after the blasting tomorrow.

Here are a couple of shots of the sandblasted trailer. It looks a lot better! Now all I have to do is a little body work, drill some hole.....prime it....sand that out...and get some paint on it. Shouldn't take too long, but it doesn't look like the weather is going to co-operate anytime soon!

I think it was called c and p sandblasting....found them in the yellow pages. The listing said they were off of Newcastle Rd, but they have moved over off of se29th and I-35. Beats sanding for a month! Dropped it off, 3 hours later picked it up!

You just have to love a clean trailer. What color are you painting it again?

Hey Arch,
The trailer really looks good. Doesn't even resemble the trailer you started with. Very nice work.

Hey Arch,

I asked this earlier but didn't see that you replied. What brand paint gun do you have? Is it a top cup or traditional bottom jar style? What about pressure settings and your in-line filter/moisture trap?

Many folks have moved to the low pressure/high volume set ups.

Your trailer is also looking good. How many rollers will it have?

Re: 16' Nescher ski boat complete restore

Hey Mrlassi1, sorry I was thinking someone ask about the paint gun. It is a gravity flow with the cup on top, conventional pressure. I went with a Devillbis FLG-651G, nice little gun. Its not a cheapie, but not an everyday production gun either. I'm still not convinced that the metallic will come out well with a HVLP gun. Pressure was around 40-45. I have an Ingersal Rand water trap, plus I used a $6 screw on filter at the gun. Not sure on the brand, but I didn't have any water issues. Apparently it has some kind of desiccant in it. Once it is full of water, it cracks to let you know. So far it hasn't crack. I'm thinking of picking up another one before I spray next time to have for a spare.

The trailer will have bunk boards and a couple of "just in case" rollers located at the cross members. I did go with a 3 piece bow roller, pretty nice set up. I think I may still get one of those stainless plates to put under the bow eye.

Thanks Bob and Mick.....I can't wait to see Mick working on his trailer! :D:D

That is going to look awesome. It looks like I am back in the saddle again to get my boat going quick. I have a little slow period for a few weeks and I need to get cracking. We need to meet in July!

Bob, glad to hear the warm weather is coming! :D

Frisco, I can't wait to see your progress...thanks for setting a date, no pressure!

Mick we have all been looking at your post on itrailers.com.....we know about the flimsy fenders and the rusty winch you are using.......:D

Heading to Norman tomorrow to pick up more primer and paint for the trailer  I thought this would be a cheap hobby!
