Hell I have been so lazy that my project is still burried under boxes from christmas. Im sure they will burn well in the wood stove and keep me warm for a night while I get the garage cleaned up but its just hard to get motivated when I know it will be a week or two before I get the gelcoat and can really do anything.

Well since I have 86'd the built in ice chest, I hope I can get the back seat mocked up today. I also want to cover the triangular area on the front of the trailer by the bow roller / winch post. That will cover up some of the previous owners welding sins.....Other than mounting two rollers, and sanding on the fenders, I think the trailer is ready for the sand blaster. I also measured for the steering cable last night, need to get that ordered one of these days. I cringe every time I see how much they cost! Here is a picture of the top of the fenders primed....it?s going to take a couple coats to get them ready....sand, fill, prime.....sand, prime......sand, prime......

Glad you brought that one up. Is yours a Teleflex? How do you measure the length?

I'm going to need one too. I can't even move mine by hand.

I have no idea what was in there....but it was toast! It was a rack and pinion, that is what I'm planning on going back with. I have read that you can just replace the cable, I think you can find info on Teleflex's web page. I'm planning on buying one of their no-feedback units. One of my friends has one and loves it. I just stretched an air hose through the route the cable will take to measure mine....from the center of the steering wheel, down the gunnel into the splash well to the center line of the boat. Well I spent most of the afternoon wrestling with the interior....didn't make much progress on that front, but I did make some on the trailer.....I sanded down the first coat of primer on the trailer fender, it looked better than I thought! Not sure when I will be able to put more primer on....the weather looks nasty.

I also cut out the plywood for the triangular area up by the winch bracket, it looks better all ready!

Hopefully I can make some progress on the interior this week!

Hey those fenders are coming right along.
The front of the trailer does look better then before. Are you going to seal the ply or cover it with carpet?
This may be hard to believe but Morgan is one of my favorite names.
I collect coins and My favorite coin is the Morgan silver dollar 1878-1921.
I hope your able to get some time to complete the things you want.

All the plywood gets carpet on it....I'm debating what color. The boat will be red with a sliver stripe.....so I'm thinking a silver trailer with red fenders....maybe some red pin striping. If I can find the right color I was thinking red carpet, but maybe silver or black.

On the name, I had been pondering that for a while. I thought of a lot of different "themes", but concluded it needed to be a woman's name. I have always thought she had sexy lines.....and a little wild! So I started to think of all the different models I liked as a kid....Farah Faceit, didn't seem like a fit....Paulina....again didn't seem to fit, Lonie Anderson....nope, then I thought of Morgan Fairchild......she seemed like a fit, so there you have it, "Miss Morgan".

the fenders sure are looking excellent, will look even better once they are painted.

Yea that mock up was a quickie, I just did a quick online search for a car hood to overlay over your boat in primer etc to make the mock up...somethin to keep ya motivated, man that little boat ought to look so sweet, especially with the matching custom trailer. keep on rockin!

Happy New Year, I havent been on in a few days due to work and busy schedule etc.

Like Bob I collect Morgan dollars too, I have one hanging around my neck year round on a silver chain guido style! more like polock style!

lol yeah I hear ya, I actually have about 4 days worth of photoshopping to do from recent jobs, gotta be self motivated or else it never gets done. the photoshopping is the worst part of doing the photography (when you have to work on 2000 images etc)

You could just get some leopard fur and epoxy it to the outside of the hull. I bet noone has ever done a fur boat? It would truely be a one of a kind.

Great, if we keep this up I will have to change the name of the thread to "pimp daddy boat".........I wonder what the appropriate technique for applying fur to fiberglass is? Sounds like a maintenance issue to me!
