I really liked the centric.....but I think its a little to "star trek" looking for this boat.....remember I am an architect, we think about these things! I pick up some foam scraps from the upholstery shop today....plan on working on the seat mock ups this weekend....not much else to do when its going to be 3 tonight!

Well its colder than hell here right now....and my thermostat died at the house today....great timing huh? I put in a new one tonight then went out and worked on the boat for a while. I mainly studied how the back seat frame needs to work. I want a removable bottom so I can have some storage under it. I also need the backs to come out so I can pull out the gas tanks to refuel. I think I came up with a couple ideas I can work on mocking up tomorrow.

I also worked on mocking up the swim platforms. It will give me a good place to attach a ladder and you'll notice that I could put an ice chest on the other one

Oh come on Skibum, just one more challenge! Nothing like a little teak sawdust mixed in with the fiberglass dust.....just think of it like salt and pepper on a steak!

That is classic, very funny. I have a little woodworking to do on mine but just minor accents and replacing plywood under vinyl of course.

the possible swim platforms wont interefere with the outboard will they?

we should be good on the turning radius, but I need to check that once I get the motor....which hopefully will be in the next week or two.

Well its 8 outside according to the thermometer??.I?m beginning to wonder if I move to the north pole! It?s supposed to get up into the high 40?s later this week, while I?m at work of course! I didn?t do much on the boat yesterday, but I did pick up a new camcorder??if I can figure out how to get the movie on the computer, I?ll try to post some video of the boat today.

Ok I have a bunch of video...but still fighting with getting it downloaded.....hopefully I will figure that out and get it posted soon! I did make some progress today on the back seat.....back to fighting with this software....what ever happened to "instruction manuals"?

They gave all the manuals to the kids. Someone told them that men don't use manuals. I'll bet that it was the wifes.

I got an e-mail back from India...apparently you have to change the mode on the camera before it will talk to the computer. Of course they left that out of the oh so handy pdf "instruction manual'. I got them on the computer this morning, but probably won't be able to upload them till tonight.

Maybe I should go to India to get a job. I hear that they have a surplus of jobs. Its funny that happened right about the same time that all of our jobs disappeared. Strange coincidence.

What are manuals?
Isn't everything "plug and play" these days?
You know it prob would have been easier just to use a digital camera with a video mode

Well I have some good news (other than getting the videos downloaded!). I just found out that I don't need shoulder surgery.....which would really side track the boat project in more ways than one! I'm headed out to get something to eat, but will be posting the video later. Does anyone know what the requirements are for youtube by the way? I think someone told me they have a maximum length.
