Just thought I'd share a nice photo.

That stinks. I know it won't be the same camera. But if it's worth the effort, "a" K1000 that's not "the" might be a fun marker. They're CHEAP. And they're good. I shot Minolta SRTs which are roughly the same camera. I have three of 'em mostly collecting dust, but I can dust 'em off and throw...

Just thought I'd share a nice photo.

I was in dark rooms with Dad as a toddler, and really did that kind of work up into my late 20s. Had all of the stuff until several years ago when I finally decided I was happy having someone else print 'em. I think the Pentax K1000 came out in the mid-70s. Probably real similar to the model he...

Just thought I'd share a nice photo.

Humorously: some of my better photographs have come off of my iPhone. It's honestly pretty capable. My DSLR is a Nikon D3300. I've got several Minolta SRTs - they were my work horses when I was shooting pro. I've also got a Yashica 120, a Zeiss Ikon and a Leica M3.

Just thought I'd share a nice photo.

It's really funny - for all of the years that I've been shooting, even in aviation photography I never really used more than about a 300mm lens. And more often than not, I was shooting wide angle. I've got all my old film gear, plus my new(er) digital gear. Kinda' have cameras everywhere.

The ANDERSON's portion of the story is way undertold.

50th Anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald's demise

I think if you're native to the Great Lakes, your chance of knowing the story outside of the song goes up substantially. Great Lakes shipping is a little bit of a foreign idea once you're out of that region. Likewise, when I moved down to the SouthEast, I was surprised at all of the river...

LOL ... I have the dwell meter (somewhere) for the boat before this one. Never needed the distributor wrench yet. And I'm 55!

50th Anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald's demise

Growing up in Detroit it was cool every year when Mariner's would chime her bell for the Fitz. When Gordon died, they rang them 30 times.

    Car door panel

I've used headliner glue (aerosol) for a couple headliners in the past. Might work on the doors.

    One last try

The kids and I made one several years ago to monkey around with. They were less than impressed.

Best way to get to my boat?

Y'know ... I was laughing about swinging over like Tarzan, but @roscoe has a point. I've built a half dozen of these over my lifetime: And honestly, if you've got a good anchor on shore, it should be relatively inexpensive and able to handle a decent beating for a year or five. Not a permanent...

That's hard. Similar to what happened with my dad. Thoughts and prayers with your family.
