    TD-14 (Hurricane Milton)

^^^^ Yes: watch yourselves. East TN and NC are still a mess. I know someone second hand who lost their lives in East TN. Would hate for anything to happen to y'all.

    Hurricane Helene

Civil Air Patrol should be too. I know both NC Wing and TN Wing are spooling up flights today. Plus recovery assistance on the ground through VOAD.

    Hurricane Helene

Lots going on. Castle Rock, NC is pretty much gone. Asheville is a mess and AD is right, I40 is closed a few miles into TN. I26 has similar closures and TN431 through the Great Smokey MTN National Park. From the sounds of it, SC got it worse than TN did. The Nolichucky Dam held in East TN which...

Nabbed a house. The Admiral's idea of "camping" is when the pool isn't heated.

    Hurricane Helene

I didn't think she'd follow me ... it's unusual for women to stay interested in me for that long.

    VIN LOCATION

I'm not sure that all trailers have them. Mine has a tag, on the frame - up near the tongue - with a number stamped into it. Not sure my old trailer has one.

I came up via 231. Makes for a nice ride through North Alabama in the convertible. It's been couple years since I ran 65 down into Alabama. I'm going down to Fort Morgan in November, so I'll try to notice ... without noticing ... I think the big, cool rocket is gone at the welcome center though.

    New boat

^^^ I was just typing the same sorta' thing. If the price is good, and the rest of the boat is in good shape - then, I wouldn't be afraid of those items.

Made it back to Tennessee: I don't know if the weather pattern on the way home was due to Helene, but it was certainly consistent. Saw this around Shelbyville, TN

We need to make a day like Ground Hog Day for that guy. Can you imagine what his life insurance premiums are like? I hope the thing just fizzles. But it doesn't look like it will.

Yup. As long as I get 24 hours head start on her, we'll be good. We caught a little bit of Francine up in Tennessee, and I expect we'll see a little of Helene too. But I only like lookin' at hurricanes from a distance.

Took a breather to do some diving down in Florida for a day or two (gotta' get outta' here before the storm hits!). I've been playing with HDR images when I can, and I did one from the St Andrews Jetty's in Panama City Beach:

Welcome aboard. Nice Comoro. I used to have one - a 17'. Great boats. I'd do what CClassen suggests.

    Parking boat in driveway

Humorously, for us we have a "required front yard that runs 50' from the curb. Stay with the math here ... from the edge of the curb, my driveway runs 60'(ish). The required front yard is 50' (you can only park cars and trucks on a paved driveway in that 50'). That leaves 10' before you get to...

Possible purchase of 73 Chrysler cadet

Welcome aboard. The old Chryslers were cool; kind of an odd-ball boat move for Chrysler during the "me-too" era of trailer boats. And it is fun to play with vintage glass. But, i agree the $1,500 number is more in line. Is there a link to an ad?
