    Re: Motor mounting hardware for reinstallation-what, and in what order? Those are not fluid mounts, and I see nothing wrong with the one in the picture. Those mounts seldom break, and if not broken, I sure wouldn't change them. Have a look at this Page from the manual.

    Re: wiring a battery switch... You have to hook all outgoing circuits to the common terminal. If you hook them to the battery terminal they are no longer switched.

    Re: Another engine alignment thread... If you moved the gimbal bearing, it may need to be centered as well. The inner portion of the gimbal bearing "Gimbals" inside the outer race. Here is a picture of a couple gimbal bearing "Gimbaled" inside the outer race.

    Re: Serial number wonder what I have. I just rechecked, and your serial number doesn't actually say it was a 5.7, the 260 could also be a 5.0L engine with a 4bbl. Would have to check the GM block numbers to find out, or this bulletin with some other Merc numbers.
