    Adapters are available. But, it's just about the same price to change the helm and cable as a kit, vs. a helm and adapter.

    Is that a hydraulic surge brake system? If so, that may be normal. None of my boat trailers ever had brakes, so I'm not sure how they operate.

    I run one of those, no exhaust bellows at all. I think MerCruiser stopped using exhaust bellow some time ago.
