    Buying a US boat and bringing back to Canada

    The boat is straightforward but depending on your province the trailer is the hard part.

    Hydroplane fin

    I had a Tiny Titan when I was 13. Without a fin turns were fine just wide and a bit of a slide. One time I had a friend sitting in front on the bow and when I cut the throttle the bow caught and we must have submerged about 3 feet before popping up!

    Been there, Done that;

    I've done similar things countless times. Usually when replacing extension cord ends I forget to slide the body on to the cable before I fasten the wires to the spade end.

    Another crazy car question...

    I know on my Toyota trucks if I pull the dipstick when it's idling the idle changes. I can't remember if it goes up or down. I also can't remember why I did that in the first place. It wasn't to check the level!

    Code came back so he's taking it to the dealer next week. It's 15F now so I don't think it's a warm weather issue.

    1976 Mecruiser 351W Trim System

    I've used Dexron ATF for a couple of decades with no issues in my trim pump. Being red it's easier for me to differentiate between that and engine oil if there's a leak. I'm not sure why it would foam. I've had a number of vehicles that required Dexron for the power steering pump.

    2013 F250 6.7 Powerstroke

    Checked the batteries. One was bad and the other was really bad. Replaced both. Hoping that may have been the cause of the P20BA as well. If it comes back he's taking it to the dealer. Thanks for the help!

    Partially damaged spark plug hole on 115 optimax

    Something like this might solve the problem. You'd have to get one with the right threads. https://www.lislecorp.com/specialty-tools/limited-access-spark-plug-chaser

    Changing props

    Put it in forward gear to remove prop and reverse to install (or maybe it's the opposite). Best if you have spare hardware in case you drop parts in deeper water. If the water is not calm it's a bit trickier as the boat moves. I've done it leaning off the back of the boat. Depends on the boat...
