2001 honda bf130

Hi, can anyone help me identify what the brownish redish tube for? This is a picture of a honda bf 130hp. One end looks like its not connected. 20221117_161845.jpg

Don't know for sure, but would say if that was on a Mercruiser it would be tygon tubing and runs between the carb and fuel pump. If the fuel pump diaphragm starts leaking it sends the excess gas into the carb

Is there a nipple just below the white filter to allow the carb to drain outside the motor?
Where does the other end go?

Hello, I have the same engine. That's the VST drain. Your high pressure fuel pump sits in the tank right above this. There's a brass screw that will allow you to partially drain VST to determine if you have debris, etc. in the VST.
I've taken mine apart way too many times. Good luck!

why is the other end attached to the airbox?
