I moved my boat from Connecticut to Florida. The boat is currently registered in Connecticut until 04/30/22
Can I legally maintain the CT registration or do

Either way the boat is happier in Florida!

Boats are required to be registered in the state of principal use. In Pennsylvania a boat brought in from another state must be registered in PA after 60 days of being brought in. Just looked up FL and it seems it is 30 days there.

you have 30 days to register everything in Florida.... your boat, car, etc. hold on to your shorts when you talk to the local tax collector and find out how much the first time plate fee is.

Florida is a complete PIA to deal with when it comes to out of state registrations moving to Florida. All of your out of state documents MUST BE ORIGINALS. No copies of anything allowed. No excuses. Once you have all that in your possession, you should have no trouble re-registering here.

I've used boats registered in Mi here for years at a time. Legal? No. Are you going to get hassled by a LEO? I've never even had my Mi registration come up.

I just registered the boat to Florida. The tag division gave the new registration number. And one sticker. Does anyone know if Florida uses two numbers and two stickers? If one what side of the boat does it goes on?
Thanks
