Bought this engine compression came out even. Having high hopes for the motor. Mounted it and going to do a service tomorrow. Can some one please help with this part image attached and circled. It won’t stay in the fitting and slips out.

I'm not real sure I'm looking at the right part. I'm thinking we're talking about #2 in this diagram?


If that is the case, you can order it pretty easily. Before that though, see if the rod isn't screwed into an identical fitting at the other end - way too far? Unscrewing it a few turns may allow you to recenter that rod between the fittings.

I would consider that a safety issue and definitely replace the part with a new one. Losing throttle control can be dangerous. But do follow @ahicks advice and make sure you get enough threads on both sides to get a good attachment.
