    Honda 40, no telltale flow

Out of curiosiy how old is that motor, was run always in salt water ? The issue started gradually or from one day to another ? Tilt the motor fully up and squirt an overdose of WD-40, Carb Cleaner up the peeing port with the provided red cannula, let soak/penetrate/dissolve for say 15 minutes...

Transom adaptor from 15" to 20"?

You're welcome, Never done that, but you are free to so so, will probably add a much tougher support riser/ transom when plan using a much heavier motor. Once right at middle bolt both side and lower hoizontal metal plates with a long screw and nut going through the metal transom, add SS washers...

    Lower Oil Seal.-

If wanting to remove a 18 HP lower oil seal (X) it's just a matter of destroying it while pulling it out the crank case with whatever tool needs to be pulled with ? When finally is removed is it possible to install a well lubed new one in to slide in better while tapping it gently with a...

Transom adaptor from 15" to 20"?

If plan sitting the motor aligned fully vertical at transom level but 5" higher, this type of motor riser works very well, can bolt the lower holding plates at both sides (*) to install a L 20 shaft motor. Will need to be fabricated at a metal facility/workshop. The overall cost should be...

    Prop question

Yep, if there's none on the prop shaft try a Evinrude Prop Selector as to dial a starter prop which needs to be wot water tested to check if the motor revs at least around middle of its wot rpm range as loaded.... Happy Boating

    Anchors and Chains.-

Thanks, 3 issues I'm considering not to opt for that type of anchor (1) Is bulkier than my previous Seachoice 7E flat folding anchor (2) the claws will end damaging my nice FRP deck finish 3) being bulky will surely rock sideways lying on deck when encountering wavy, windy water conditions...

    Anchors and Chains.-

Yesterday lost my anchor with attached chain. The anchor was a cheap Seachoice 7E for up to 15 footer boats and a 1.5 meter 8 mm SS chain. Got stuck locked against something that will never know. Tried running the anchored boat in all possible 4 directions including CW-CCW 360 round turns to...

    E15 Gas experience

Don't know about IB motors, but most OB motor manufacturers recommends max E10 fuel contents, E fuels will screw way faster and prematurely general rubber and plastic components, o'rings and fuel pump's diaphragms compared to non E fuel use. In Brasil where they use much higher than 15E fuel...

    MODIFIED TRAILER

Although the idea about installing a nice confy seat with back rest is awesome there are some probable issues to consider : (1) The seat looks very wide and surely occupies 3/4 of the available lower deck space in between both tubes (2) when the motor is finally mounted on top transom should...

When boating darn long riding on tubes by back ended being highly resentful, sitting inside deck next to transom tillering on top an air cushion made my day. Forgot to ask : when your Sib rests with both tubes on top bunks is it posible to leave the keel fully inflated or ends on top of the...
