    VIN Info on Trail-Rite Trailer

I'm pretty sure you are out of luck. I doubt they guess the missing numbers even if they were still in business. If you need this for registration/titling, it should be on the paperwork you received when you bought it. If you received no paperwork, you are likely in for an uphill battle anyway...

Boat going in reverse instead of forward

Today at 1:58 AM Have to clear things up a little. What motor do you have? I ask because there was no Force 115 hp made in 1996. The last Force 115 was made in 1983 when Chrysler owned them. In 1996, they made a 90 hp 3 cylinder, and a 120 hp 4 cylinder model. By 1996, all Force motors were...

96 Mercury Force going backwards with the shift on forward

Have to clear things up a little. What motor do you have? I ask because there was no Force 115 hp made in 1996. The last Force 115 was made in 1983 when Chrysler owned them. In 1996, they made a 90 hp 3 cylinder, and a 120 hp 4 cylinder model. By 1996, all Force motors were using Mercury made...

    trailer unknow

My point was that the OP left us hanging without enough information. I know a tri-hull with an i/o is likely not a 12 boat. But with a 1979 boat on an xyzzy made trailer, in an unknown state, with unknown requirements, with unknown documentation, and no photos, and no weight capacity stated ...

A trailer for a 12' boat won't have a vin. What is your question?

    Escort (Calkins?) Trailer bunk brackets

Lots of us have replaces bunk bracket, swivels, etc. Lots of parts to pick from in the iboats store. What you can't find here on iboats, you can find at easternmarine or etrailer, or championtrailer. I wouldn't even try piecing together old parts and new to save a few bucks. Not worth the...

    '94 Bass Tracker handling question

only have a 25 on it. You won't be going 40 mph. To quote the short timer quarterback, "Relax."

    '94 Bass Tracker handling question

Just use it. Pound the living daylight out of it. I doubt you could ever flip it or swamp it unless you get hit by a 2' wake. I've tried with several small 12-15' boats. They are so light and they just sit up on top of the water like a duck.

Adding Electronics and trolling motor to Tracker Tahoe 450 TS

Use a Ram Mount double ball mount on the dash. It will allow you to angle the sonar unit up and away from the windshield and steering wheel. They are available with different length extensions, and several sizes for larger fish finders. Here is one for a helix 9". $100. It pivots at...

Electric choke on 1996 force 120 outboard

It could be the key switch. Would need to check for 12v power being supplied to enricher when key is pushed. Sorry, I have no photos available. Top carb has fuel line that runs down to enricher, and I believe it attaches to the top port on the enricher. Enricher is about the size of a small...

Electric choke on 1996 force 120 outboard

That motor doesn't have a choke. It has a fuel enrichment valve, that when activated, will open and allow extra fuel to flow into the engine intake. You pump up the primer bulb in the fuel line. Then disconnect the little fuel line from the enricher output port. Then push the key in. If it is...

Adding Electronics and trolling motor to Tracker Tahoe 450 TS

People add trollers and sonar all the time. What you choose, how and where to install it, is up to you. Having BPS do the install should give you decent results as they know the boat best.

    tell tale

There is no "sucking" or lifting" function. Water pump must be submerged. It is not a vacuum pump.

    Opinions on winter storage?

No matter what you cover the boat with, 5 minutes of freezing rain will stick to the tarp/cover. It will allow the snow to build up.

    Hi Everyone

welcome. Looks like quite a deal, and a project. First things first. Get the paperwork straightened out. Boat and trailer titled and registered in your name BEFORE you spend any money on it. Then come back and ask questions. Cool looking boat.

    Winter storage question

Large plastic garbage can, upside down, in the bow. An old 5' wooden step ladder midship. Another large trash can in the stern. Boat cover goes on. Then 2 -- 10' x 12" commercial vinyl tarps (not the plastic ones sold everywhere). This gives me a better fit than using one large tarp. The...
