Major two stroke screw up Force 120

run it down 1/3 tank and correct it slowly Risk is that the air-cooled oil will not completely burn off due to the lower operating temp of a water cooled outboard. So you may foul a plug, or cause a little carbon build up, but should not be a problem for this limited amount. Maybe add a little...

    Anti Cavitation Plate Height

I think with a 5" setback from the jack plate, that you will need to raise the motor. Raise it an inch and then try it. Then try moving trim pin in one hole at a time.

    1985 MR180 Windshield

There are a few options on these 2 pages. Check the dimensions. Apparently some models came with different size consoles and windshields. You can choose from clear, tinted, or green tinted. https://www.updplastics.com/star-craft-boat-windshields-1980s-early-1990s-models/...

    1986 Mariner 8hp 6G1 won't idle without choke

High octane will do nothing for you. Check for air leaks around the carb. Did you use a new gasket? Get her running and spray some starting fluid around the cab, not in the carb. If it gets sucked into the engine you will hear the difference and know you have a leak.

    1989 Force 125 prop options??

Well, in 1989 some models had thru hub exhaust, some had NON-thru hub exhaust. Need to determine which you have. Look here in the iboats store. http://boatpropellers.iboats.com For thru hub exhaust, Hustler makes a 3 blade prop, and Michigan wheel makes a 4 blade. Some of the guys have had...

Fisher 1990 SV-18 SC wiring diag

What does that even mean? Boat may have come with a dozen different motors from a half dozen different manufacturers. You take the motor make and serial number, and go from there. You buy a service manual for that specific motor, a factory manual if possible. What specifically needs fixing...

""So, this is the 7th boat that Bayliner ever made,"" Might want to recheck your info. There is plenty of documentation on these boats and none that I've seen look anything like this one. Bayliner claims they've made boats for over 60 years on their website. and this, good info here ...

    Best fuel consumption

Maybe number 2, but both would be much better at about 3800 rpm. And even better would likely be about 5 mph over planing speed. Then, the first one would be better if you do a lot of short hops, starting out and getting on plane repeatedly. So how you use the boat will affect the mpg more than...
