Not sure I'm using this site correctly; I need to know a few things about the electric choke on my 1996 force 120 outboard; it has never had an audible click right from brand new but worked fine until last time I used it when it wouldn't work at all. The motor started and ran fine when I sprayed a prime into the carbs

That motor doesn't have a choke.
It has a fuel enrichment valve, that when activated, will open and allow extra fuel to flow into the engine intake.

You pump up the primer bulb in the fuel line.
Then disconnect the little fuel line from the enricher output port.
Then push the key in.
If it is working, fuel will flow out of the enrichment valve.

Exactly where is the line and the enricher output port? I know nothing about how this enrichment system works...I'm not at the boat right now but should be tomorrow
Also if it doesn't push fuel out the line which I don't believe it is as it wouldn't start without a squirt bottle what should I check? Is it possible that its only the key switch acting up?

It could be the key switch.
Would need to check for 12v power being supplied to enricher when key is pushed.

Sorry, I have no photos available.

Top carb has fuel line that runs down to enricher, and I believe it attaches to the top port on the enricher.
Enricher is about the size of a small pill bottle.
It has 2 wires connected to it.
And has 2 fuel lines connected to it.
Top is input, bottom is output.
The enricher is just a simple solenoid operated valve that opens when you push in the key. It is not a pump, or injector.

Be sure to pump up the primer bulb to fill the carb bowl, before testing the enricher.

There is a manual use button on top of the enricher.
Just pressing it down would allow fuel to flow through the valve.

Thank you for the help; I'll check it out and hopefully see what's going on
