Project Fuggly - No Longer Fuggly And Splashed!!!!!!

I finally remembered to take a couple of photos. Here is the block after honing, not perfect, but probably pretty good for an 8.5 to 1 engine. I still need to clean it up now that I have a plan. Here is the balance of the guts and head, minus the pistons and rods. II plan on starting to...

If things clean up within reason, then it will be start ordering parts and putting things back together......I will most likely ship the head off to have the intake boss removed and have it ported, polished....hardened...

Pulled the pistons today, most of the wrist pins are "tight", 5 is really stiff and 6 is more or less locked up. This is not what you want your new piston skirt to look like......think we know where the noise was coming from.... Loading up the block and crank tomorrow and heading to my...

So as I was tearing down the engine last night, I noticed that all of the exhaust ports, on the head, had rust in them. I started wondering why, then went over to the intake. It had some water in it, I assumed from the water jackets. When I looked inside I realized the interior of the...

New update, I went out to the hanger tonight and put the AN-6 fuel line together. I used Summit Racing hose and fittings, I have to say it was very simple and the parts were high quality. Pricey for sure, but I think it is worth spending the money on a fuel line that is under pressure all the...

Thanks Chuck! Now for the weekend update lol! I spent most of the weekend covered in oil from the hydrulic unit. I started by pulling the reverse lock out valve. I replaced what appeared to be the only items that really wear / degrade. 2 O-rings which were in surprisingly good shape. Which...

This is how I make my seat mount. Fiberglass angle glued to the deck with west-systems 6-ten. No holes in the deck and excellent strength. Depending on your seat configuration might not work for you. I just call them box seats since they have a wooden base that make a box. I made my battery...
