I have a 1994 ford F-150 with a 5 speed manual transmission, I'm pulling either a Lund 15ft. Old Guide boat or my 15ft. Starcraft that was a runabout till I made some changes. It's now a fine big water duck boat.

I pull my boat with whatever the wife leaves in the driveway

Sometimes its a 2000 GMC Sierra 4x4 other times it is a 2011 Traverse. I just make sure I pull the hitch out of the receiver when I park the vehicle.
Oh yeah I pull a 15' Starcraft Jetstar with a 35 Evinrude triple.

In my humble opinion, you can't beat a Suburban.

Couldn't agree more. I have a 2004 3/4 ton with the 7.4L engine and i can barely tell my 20' Celebrity is behind me. Not to mention all the space for passengers and gear inside the truck. The price you have to pay is 10mpg!

pull a 17ft Maxum Bowrider (bout 2500lbs with gear + trailer ) behind a 1997 jeep grand cherokee 4.0l 6cyl, 183xxx miles. launch on a muddy slippery hill same grade as a boat launch ramp just no pavement alll grass(now tire tracks ) and dirt cause the trailers not registered but its a jeep it makes it with ease

I didn't think this thread would have ever got this big. Anywho, here's my setup... A little 17' 1990 Stingray (craigslist find) pulled by a 2004 Silverado 5.3 (ebay find) and i added a Procharger supercharger w/ 8psi boost. Gotta run 91 octane but it pulls like a champ. They both do the job BUT I am always shopping for a larger boat and a larger truck

Here's a picture from our first trip to the ramp with our new (to us) boat. The boat is a 1999 Sea Ray 180 o/b, towed by a 2003 Subaru WRX.

Nice setup! At least I'm not the only one that tows with my wrx. I put thousands of miles on each year towing my boat and sleds, and for the most part, it is my preferred tow vehicle for anything 2200 pounds and less.

I pull my 19ft Chaparral Villain 2 with a GMC sierra 1500 tow package...no issues but my trailer could use brakes and my truck could use a tune up as I have 197000 miles on her.

Nice setup! At least I'm not the only one that tows with my wrx. I put thousands of miles on each year towing my boat and sleds, and for the most part, it is my preferred tow vehicle for anything 2200 pounds and less.

Great to hear you've had good results with yours. This is the first I've towed with this car, but so far, it's done a great job. Pulled the boat out of the water with no problems at all.

I pull my Lund S-14 with 35HP Mercury with my '06 grand prix. Does pretty well actually.

I now tow my boat mostly with my 1998 GMC Safari, but sometime with my 1999 K3500 Chevy(mostly with a 25ft 5th wheel inbetween them)

1991 Glastron 1700 / 3.0L 140HP
with
2010 Dodge Charger w/ 3.5L. Tows decent, but it's right at the max tow limit.

other rig is a
2006 Hornet 27R (28ft)
with a
2003 Ford Expedition w/ 5.4. I'm getting both ready for a camping trip this Saturday in the Andirondack mountains.
