See now you are just confusing your six footitus as two footitus. It's gone on for to long now, untreated. You really ought to pick up an Islander so you'll get better Mike!

Here for ya buddy!:D

You words carry much Tin Jas. Islander fixes all.

that guy is willing to trade tools too! I think i can handle a barter with my few thousand extra "just in case i break one" extras. I'd have to lose the florida paint sceme and go with a Michigan state, or my Alma motter Ohio State. :D

Oooh, tuffy Jas. No trailer though.

Wait for the SS, my opinion.

Yah, that is kinda the way I am leaning - few major reasons:

1. Cutting up that hull, fabbing up consoles, finding all new trim, and finding a windshield may not be worth what $ I would save on this one.

2. I'd rather have the deeper hull than what this one provides. It's not by much, but it's a factor.

3. Yah, no trailer.

I bet this one doesn't go much over $100 or so. Dern close to free, eh!:D

Yeah that one's not too deep. I think it's best suited as the nifty little runabout that it already is.

Jason if you would be so kind...after discussing this with the admiral over the weekend I need to amend our requests.:)

I am going to be buying a '57 Evinrude Lark 35hp outboard, which can be a tiller or remote steering. I need a boat for it since it would be too big for my 12' AeroCraft and too small for the SS(unless I decided to run twins:cool:).

This means that I would be in the market for a 14' Starcraft set up for a tiller or remote steering. My only caveat is that is be rated for a 35;)

The advantage that I have in this case is that I can buy one lacking a trailer for hopefully cheap or nearly free.:)

(BTW this doesn't mean I have to delete one of the others does it?):p

Awesome! Dude a 14 footer with a 35 will move! Are you looking for a regular utility/row boat sort or a Jup/Jet sort? Side console, dual console, center console? Or, cross that bridge when you get there sort of a deal?

Yeah it would be a fast 14 footer...I know the low-sided rowboats will be rated for less. I'm interested in a closed-bow or rowboat hull with plenty of freeboard and transom knee braces to accomodate a 35 Lark.

I'd like to find one to run as a tiller, but if not I'd be thrilled to have a tiny side console and steering/throttle.:)

So yeah, I guess when we get to that bridge we'll figure something out.

My buddy has a 14' Cadillac closed bow(or at least it used to be) that's rated for 40hp so that is what I'd like.:)

Cool! I'll keep my eyes peeled as I am sure the other bottom feeders will too!

I am thinking that most of the row/utility style are usually rated at about 25-30 (pretty dern close).

Check this out...

It's a 15 foot Starcraft (couldn't make out the model on the tag) sitting among mountains of other stuff. I spotted it out of the corner of my eye heading down the road. I stopped and asked about it - the fella said he wanted $450 for it including the trailer. I'd be happy to stop by and haggle with him if it foots the bill for ya. It would take the both of us, some tow chains, several cups of coffee and my Burb to drag it out of where it's sitting.

Rock on!:D

^^^I would think pretty much any CASH would own that boat. I think that boat would be ideal for Mike's motor.
