J I looked on the map and that would cost more to get than you could buy it for, How long is the ferry ride across the lake? I guess we keep looking. Hopefully one of the other in the Starmada pick it up.

Oh yah, no doubt about that!

The ferry ride is about 4 hours but it'd be an extra couple of hundred in $$ with all the fees. That would be fun though!:)

Thanks for keeping your eyes peeled!

Yup, that is a beaut!

Well dudes, I may need to back off some on my search for a 16 footer. I sold my little JD 110 yesterday...

She has served me well over the past couple of years but I really need something bigger. Nothing huge mind you, just something with a three point hitch to haul around my wood trailer, boats, other stuff, and plow the driveway in the winter. Thinking maybe I can find a Ford 8N/9N pretty cheap.

I didn't expect to sell that JD, kinda caught me off guard there. So, my boat slush fund has now become my tractor slush fund. I prolly shouldn't say things like that to a bunch of boat guys!

Sure, if a screaming good deal pops up I'd have to jump on it. But, til then the Islander will certainly keep me busy.:D

Not only did I not get it, but SWMBO is not talking to me anymore either. Guess I better go finish building that shelf in the basement. :(

Oh man PR, I just sprayed a little coffee right from my nose!!!! I realize I am laughing at your misery but dude, I bet every one of us have been there and know what that feels like. Stinking funny, sorry man.:D

Today is a new day! Start with "good morning" and see where that takes ya buddy.

Maybe by the end of the week she'll give a few words like "you stink" or "what were you thinking". Gotta start somewhere.

That's why I bought an Islander. If push REALLY comes to shove, I can live in it if I have to.

I can hear it now......

Paparoof: "Honey, we could turn around and sell that boat for triple....maybe quadruple the investment and then we could buy that new bedroom (read: more stuff for the Islander) set you've been wanting."

SWMBO: "O Sweetheart!"

Well yah, but the upside would be all the free time you have to work on the rig eh - you'd have her done in no time! We could prolly get you DSL so you could still hang out here on iboats too!

Man, living in an Islander doesn't sound all that bad:D

(maybe a bit cold in the winter though)

Re: The search for a free (or nearly free) Starcraft!

Hi, I'm Greg, and Im looking to find a elcheapo 60's to early 70's cuddy.
(how'd I do?) seriously would like to find a project boat with a closed bow or cuddy. Wife would like to get out on the ocean again, she grew up on her Daddy's 26ish ft Mako. So I want to do him proud with a SC. I have a carhauler Im willing to trade as long as the boat has a decent motor. Evinrude/Johnson ob or a Mercruiser i/o. thnx

Don't tell anyone, but I actually lived in a van for a couple months about a million and a half years ago. It wasn't nearly as bad as you might think.

Of course, it was during the summer months....
