Might be kinda fun to fix one up like that on the cheap to resell for some profit. Rusto paint job, painted exterior ply floor, and some inexpensive fishing seats. You'd have to also find a screaming deal on a motor though.

Cheap 16' with no motor. W/O trailer $150.00.

That's a great project boat. I bet she's in great shape after you rip off the old vinyl and stuff. How come I couldn't find one that cheap when I was looking?:D

A while back I offered $650 for a Holiday just like that with no motor and got turned down.

Ain't nothin' sexier than a sawzall.:D

That was originally listed as a 13' 11". Had me all worked up, the next thing I know it's grown two feet. Funny, or he just can't read a tape measure!

Man! Not bad at all!! What model would that be way back in '62?

Tough to tell. You can't see the interior and I'm not sure they had an open bow back then. It's probably a Holiday just like HSFs.

The parts place I frequent has had an 18 foot, orange Holiday sitting in the parking lot for several months. Last time I was there I asked about it and he said he really only wants the trailer it's sitting on (nice new trailer he sez is worth $1200). The boat has no motor (outboard) and looks pretty rough, but it's all there and the guy sez he'd take $300 for it, so I bet he'd go $200....

I took a few pictures, but I don't have my card reader here, so PM me if yer interested, I'll get the pics to you.

Not handy. He had it up on clist for a while, I went and checked it out. I thought if he still had it going into winter he may fudge on the price some. We'll see but I bet he wont go for it.

Well, when I add the fuel bill for the big Burb to get there and back and a room for a night she gets pricey quick:eek:

Besides that, telling my life supervisor that I am taking off for a couple of days to go buy another project Starcraft would not bode well for me. She would surely run me over with her Honda several times. No doubt about that.

Even after the extra costs it would still be a pretty good deal, but all the same, death by mini van is no good.

That SS is a beauty but yup, the deal would need to be close to make sense for me man:D
