Kenny I've got a really good vibe on this Starchief...have you heard her calling out to you around dusk? It's sometimes faint but barely audible.:D

Good luck man!

Mike is right, I hear mine talking to me too. Real quiet though, you have to listen.

Interesting, my Merc likes to belt out the Rolling Stones when the mood strikes her!

Re: The search for a free (or nearly free) Starcraft!

sent off an email a minute ago...we'll see.....

He wrote back, answered my question on trailer readiness...said it was rough, but could make the trip...I wrote back asking if he had proper paperwork..no reply...ad gone now...Grrrrr

Guess that 'calling out to me' must of been the song..."You've got to move it, move it" lol

I'm just catching up here. Kenny sold the Holiday and is looking for another project? I wondered why it wasn't on CL anymore. Jas is still looking for a free boat and sound like he needs frying pan counciling or is it Kenny???

I can't keep up with you guys. Me, I saw a sweet Holiday in Traverse City area. It was a 14' holiday with a 25 johnny on it. All complete and it ran good. Ebayed for $560. I wanted it sooooo bad. MRS. Bwana went nuts on me though. She had that look in her eye, that cold hard look. Two stages beyond frying pan! I'm not afraid to admit it but I backed down.

Next year I'll have my 14' and get the Offshore running. Sorry for the hi-jack.

Kenny I'll start looking buddy.Jas got an eye out down here for ya.

Good luck guys.

Jason. Need to know what a bad day is// I'll help' Two weeks ago I shut my Van door and forgot to totally remove my left hand I lost the end of my ring finger. I healed in two weeks so, stupid me said to myself I can do better than that We have a large Kennel and my wife and myself are our only employes. We put the dogs outside and back in at night (neighbors) Well I stepped over a wire fence caught my to and fell hard on top of a dog house OUICH I broke Three ribs and no one here but myself. I have been by myself for three days and 1 to go. It is amazing how much pain you can ytolorate when you have no choice. I get the fool award for not very bright if the forum gives one out. Your thread has gotten a lot of response and it still kiss me to see people able to talk down a already very low price for less. Our friends from Indiana are here for a week so the wife left for british Columbia for a few days . Jest before I fell. I did not have the heart to let them know until they return,

Here might be a free option for ya Kenny...

http://muskegon.craigslist.org/boa/1992412706.html

Beat him up on price a little, sell off all the rigging and I would think you'd be darn close to free. Sell that 70hp motor and you'd for sure at free (probably make $). You would want a bigger motor for that 22' hull anyway. Photo stinks but that trailer looks about worth the asking price, eh!

Holy chit that's a good deal ^^^ I think I could handle a closed bow if when I was standing at the helm there was still 18+' of boat behind me!

FYI, FWIW...that's the 12" size cast iron pan!:D

That looks like a great deal, and not to rain on the parade, but I'm really looking forward to a cuddy style ie: starchief chieftain etc. something to overnight on now & then...but man is that tempting lol.

Oh man, I thought we were working with a 10" pan here, 12" you'd prolly only last through 4-5 blows and be done for!

Cabin for Kenny, got it!:D

Good choice, Starchief/Cheiftain is my favorite (heck, they're all my favorites) Starcraft boat. I'm watching out for you bud. The boat that is, I want no part of a 12" skillet, that's between you and Mrs. Skillet. Don't want no trouble here.

Best of luck in finding a boat, Jason & Kenny.

Hopeshefloats.
Fry pans are easy to dodge.
Lots of wind residence and the flat bottom spreads the blow if and when contact is made.

Here is a picture of my wife with her favorite persuader.

I took this one after I brought home my second project boat
