$200.00, are you out of your Vulcan mind??????

I've got at least two of them on my let's make a deal list, Starman. Good job lots of good boats there.

Lots of sellers neglect the keyword Starcraft and the big search filters omit them, as you know.

^^^^^Now before you guys say "garbage OMC stringer" think OB on a bracket.

We have seen that boat before and talked about OB on a bracket for it. I wonder if that seller reads up here on iboats because he mentions that conversion in his ad where he didn't previously. Seems like the price went up from $400 maybe?

I think it's a sweet boat and would make for an awesome project. No title, no trailer, and orange cat accessory makes it less appealing.

Seller, if you are reading this - you are a little high on your price sans title and trailer.

:D

This one is for Don, though you'll have to drive to the yoop...

Jas that picture of that boat in the yoop was taken in June. Now there's 6 feet of snow over it. I think it's a tri hull anyway, I draw the line there. I never was very good a busting broncos.

More along my lines;

I'd like to get this for $200.00, I emailed and asked for pictures. He said he'd get pics to me, three days ago. Maybe I should bug him again.

No, actually, my wife tells me what I can think. And do. And go. And well, pretty much everything else too.:)

There are only one of two ways that I could pull it off.

#1 Sell that Jet Star in a flash and grab that Jupiter hull. Don't think this will happen as only weirdos and very sick men who suffer from multiple boat syndrome (MBS) buy boats in the middle of the winter. And, most of these kinds of guys are right here on the iboats Starcraft section!:rolleyes::D

#2 Keep on the kitchen reno while simultaneously begin on the addition to the house we have been talking about (all the while working on the Islander, plugging away on the second boat, daddy on duty stuff, landlord stuff, and the regular job). Really, the only thing holding me back on this option is $$ for house addition building materials. So, well, that's out too.

I hear ya, That's why I get up so early to check on the Starmada, she is not up yet and not looking over my shoulder to see what I might be thinking about putting in the garage. I also know what you mean about projects, so many, so little time. The weather here this winter I have not seen since I was a kid, it is so cold and windy - 20 to-35 c windchills everyday. I can't work on the shop to even get it to the stage of bring in the SS to work on it.

That Jupiter would be WAY more stable than that rounded bottom hull you dragged home.

Well yes and no - depends on the use.

The Jet has much more of a flat bottom (shallow V, semi V) whereas a Jup has more of a deep V. Course the deep V is better in rough water whereas the shallow V does better in the flat stuff. Shallow V has better primary stability and the deep V has better secondary stability. Truth be told, the Jet probably suits my needs better for my intended use (flat river running, smaller lakes). The Islander will take the big water rollers. The Jet would get pounded in that same water. On flat water she would do very well and take less power to push seeing that there is less hull in the water too.

Huh. Maybe I just talked myself out of that really nice Jup there:)

Well that's a bummer.

Sounded a little like "buyers remorse" to me....:D:rolleyes:

Nah. I do like the deeper sides and the extra foot the SS/Jup provide though. I'd love to have them both!! No way thats happining at my place though, yah not even close. Like I mentioned, the Jet should actually serve my needs better than the other. I should stick with what I have and stop letting my mind wander off like that!

Jason just think of all the extra room you will have without a cavernous splashwell like that Jupiter:D

If you want to get on the water cheap with that 15' I'd rig up a small tiller(20-30hp) for this year and see what ya think of the hull:)
