Re: The search for a free (or nearly free) Starcraft!

Blackberg, we are very lucky for SC boats here. Now we'll trade you 1 month of sunshine in January for one months worth of Starcraft deals. OK?

Jason, are we looking for the same second boat? A 14 foot with a steering wheel in it?

As far as the MBS (multiple boat syndrome for all the rookies in the house), I think we should blame it on EZ. As in I wish I could control my lust for a second boat but, "EZ made me do it". If it weren't for him I might be content with my lonely I/O, but now I must have a small outboard Tinnie too.

Hi all,
been surfing the forums for a while, finally decided to register. I have been looking for a boat, and you guys here made me decide on a starcraft. bad part is I am in SoCal and they are either hard to find or expensive out here. Envious of you out in the midwest and beyond, much better deals out there

Just find one you like, and I bet any of us near it would try to assist in your quest.

Welcome blackberg! Glad you are here! Yah, your west coast dollars don't go very far bummer.

Well, like starman said, give us a heads up what you want and I can put ya on the board (post #1):)

Well, the second boat will be a 16' SS (or cut up to be one) or a tiller deep V 14' (no steering console). I would be happy with either for different reasons.

Yah, blaming EZ for stuff is always fun!:D

You MBS guys are doing it wrong. The object is to get other close friends or family members to buy the other boats. Even better if those people are boat newbs and will pretty much have to take you along whenever they use them. I only own one boat myself.

that 21' looks tempting actually

I am looking for a Islander or chieftain primarily, I like the idea of a cuddy,
but 18'-22' is my sweet spot, aluminum of course. Open to models otherwise, as long as its fixable and priced right.

Kev, better check with your airline and the TSA....i heard they aren't allowing boats (at least with fluids) in your luggage any more ;-)

Yup that is a problem...I didn't even look at boats while I was in Florida with the new rules...Kev will just take the rig thru the old Panama canal(if they let him, we don't own it anymore).:D:D

I'll need your fist name to get ya up on the board blackberg. Just remember, you start going down this road you may wish you never commited to such rediculous behavior.

Please know the guys around here are only too happy to encourage such behavior;):D

Cheers!

Knowing full well he is in for it, Don is on the board. Welcome buddy!!

A cheap or free big rig will be a tough find on your side of the map but if there is one to be had this group can find it.

Cheers!

Certainly looks like one. That COULD be a really good deal if the 90HP has good compression.
