Re: Tell us how old is your boat?

Here's the Crestliner... tight as a drum & solid as a rock! Likely good for another 50+ years... at least!
Forget it... can't downsize small enough to upload. Site needs to join the 21st century!

Re: Tell us how old is your boat?

I just bought a 1976 Terry 15' tri-hull bass boat from the original owner. It was repainted a couple years ago and put in the barn. I mounted my 1977 Mercury 9.8 as a kicker motor for the local resevoirs right next to the original 1976 Evinrude 115. When I get that running I'll be using it to run the rivers and bays around Hampton Roads, VA.

1968 AlumaCraft with 1968 Evinrude Fastwin 18. The"Knott Yacht"
Stays dry as a chip.
No computers. (not even a battery)... and no worries!
Starts on 1st or 2nd pull Every time.
Runs like brand new!

Sounds perfect to me! I love firing up my old '66 20 hp with one, or two pulls while the guys in the fancy machines are scratchin' their head at the dock wondering why their mid-life crisis turned power boat won't start. Less is more, especially when it comes to boats. Little boat = Big fun ;)

Re: Tell us how old is your boat?

to all,

a 1970 deep/wide SternCraft 17ft utility/runabout on a heavy-duty 5" I-beam 2-wheel trailer.
addenda: last evening a nice man sent me an email with a page from the 1970 SternCraft catalog. - my new boat is a BALBOA 17.

it has a 4-cylinder Mercruiser I/O engine, but i don't know at this time (i bought it last Friday to restore.) if it's a 120 or a 140 HP engine, as the identifying decals are missing.
(the engine was repainted at some time or other.)

NOTE: if any readers know anything about the SternCraft company and/or have any brochures/catalogs/sales sheets/anything, please advise me by PM.

yours, satx
